Despite the closed windows and doors of my room's balcony, I could still hear the laughters of chidren still playing outside the castle. Hearing their klaughter was fun, relaxing, it was as if hearing how happy the children was right now, their laughters and giggles alone was enought to send her back to when she was a child, happy, carefree.

It was only past six in the evening, I am supposed to still be outside, istead, I am inside of my dimly lit room, sitting in the corner of my bed, and holding a thick and old book I managed to steal from Ayane when she left it in a desk this afternoon before going inside my room.

I didn't even know why I took it, I wasn't really reading it, my eyes followed the words, but then my mind drifted elsewhere.

And much as I hate toi admit, my heart ached in a way I couldn't quite understand.

No, I refused to understand.
