Chapter 61

Roman's POV
It's been thirty- minutes of being here, in Ezekiel's chambers, we were both there, Zeke there, sitting opposite to me, his eyes closed like he was sleeping, but I knew better he wasn't. He has refused to say a word since he somehow pulled me out of the dungeon without anyone knowing.
"Can I get food, anything? I'm hungry" I said, sitting on the couch, my fingers tapping at the armchair quietly.
"Were you also punished with hunger?" he asked, it sounded more like a taunt than a question.
Being in that prison was nothing but madness, I hadn't expected that, not even for a second, but that was it, I was there.
It didn't take long when two men entered, from their clothes, I could tell that they were Zeke's chefs. The scent of the aroma of the food that they held in their hands filled the room, and then my nostrils. As soon as they dropped it, I waited patiently for them to leave while my eyes were staring at the food.
