He smirked slightly but said nothing.
He wasn't bored enough to waste his time on random nobodies.
On the other hand, the atmosphere at the table suddenly became awkward.
Adrian felt even more embarrassed…he hadn't expected his girlfriend to say something like that.
"Haha, she's just joking, guys. Don't take it seriously," he laughed awkwardly, nudging his girlfriend with his elbow to signal her to say something in an attempt to lighten the mood.

His girlfriend just scoffed but didn't say anything more.
The others also nodded in understanding, albeit a bit awkwardly.
Everyone turned to look at Rex.
"Hey, it's okay. I know she didn't mean it," he said, shaking his hand dismissively as if swatting away an annoying fly.
