Chapter 48 - ch-19 chenu had a promise

One day, like every day, avoiding everyone's eyes, she went to the backside of the orphanage and started practicing standing under a tree.

She was so engrossed in this work that she did not even notice that someone was watching her for a long time.

When Suhana finished her practice and was about to go back to the orphanage, she saw that Pratima was standing behind her.

Suhana got very nervous seeing Pratima there suddenly and in this nervousness, she held the corner of her skirt tightly and closed her eyes tightly.

When she did not feel anything for a long time, she opened her eyes.

The Pratima who was standing in front of her till now was now sitting on her knees. She lovingly took Suhana's hands in hers and asked her, "Do you want to learn martial arts?"

For the first time in all this time, someone had held Suhana's hand with so much love, other than her sister. So Suhana could not stop her tears.

Suhana started crying loudly now. Seeing her crying like this, Pratima's heart was filled with emotion. She hugged Suhana.

Then Suhana started saying "I want to tell my sister (I want to save my sister)".

Hearing this, before Pratima could say anything, Aradhya came to Suhana and hugged her tightly.

Aradhya said "Don't worry. From today onwards, I will never let you feel sad".

"And we will tell you both". Swati came from behind and Ana also came there.

Now all four hugged each other. Seeing their love, even Pratima's eyes filled up.

That day, Aradhya took a decision that now she will join the Indian Army and will protect her sister as well as Ana and Swati.

That night, when all the children slept, Aradhya quietly got up and went to Pratima's room and knocked on the door of Pratima's room.

Pratima was doing some important work, so she came to the gate wearing glasses and opened the gate.

When she looked down, she saw Aradhya, whom she called Cheenu at the orphanage, standing there.

Seeing Cheenu outside her room so late at night, Pratima got scared. She asked Cheenu, "What are you doing outside my room so late? You know it is not allowed to come out of the room so late at night!"

Hearing her, Cheenu said, "I know Miss! But I have come to talk to you about something".

Pratima felt a seriousness in Cheenu's voice. So she allowed Cheenu to come to her room.

After going inside, Cheenu sat on a chair and Pratima sat on the bed in front of her.

Then Pratima asked Cheenu, "Now tell me! What do you want to talk about?"

Hearing her, Cheenu said, "Miss! I know that you are running an orphanage here to show off to everyone! But actually soldiers are prepared here to serve the country."

Pratima was shocked to hear this from Cheenu. She thought in her mind that how does such a small girl know this? Whereas in all these years no child here ever came to know about this?"

Seeing Pratima's expressions Cheenu said "Nobody told me anything. I heard you talking to an officer".

Then Pratima who was sitting normally till now, became serious now. Seeing her like this Cheenu said "I have not come here to scare you".

"Then why have you come to me so late in the night?" Pratima asked Cheenu in harsh words.

Then Cheenu said to Pratima "Just like my sister spoke her heart out today, I have also come to share my heart out with you".

"And what about that?" Now Pratima was becoming a little normal.

Then Cheenu said "I want to join the Special Task Force".

Then Pratima said "You know not everyone can do that! And his training is very rigorous. Will you be able to do it?"

Now it was Cheenu's turn to get serious. She said, "Now my family is my sister and Ana, Swati. I am ready to do anything for them."

Pratima felt a firmness in Cheenu's voice. Then she said to Cheenu, "Okay. From today you will prepare for the army for everyone else, but actually you will be prepared for the Special Task Force, and this will not be here but somewhere else. For this you will have to stay away from all of them. Do you agree to this?"

Then Cheenu said, "Yes." And with this both of them finished talking. After talking to Pratima, Cheenu came back to her room.

And as if nothing had happened, she went to her bed and slept.

Next day...

The next morning Cheenu started packing her things. Seeing Cheenu packing her things, Suhana said, "Didi! Are you going somewhere?"

Then Cheenu lovingly caressed Suhana's head and told her, "From today onwards, listen to everything Ana and Swati say, don't be stubborn. Be like a good girl."

Anna and Swati were also listening to Cheenu's words. They asked Cheenu, "Didi! But where are you going?"

Then Cheenu told them, "Right now I don't have enough strength to save you all. That's why now I am going to become strong and capable so that tomorrow you don't have to go to anyone else for help."

Suhana was too young to understand all these things. She didn't understand anything, but she definitely understood that her sister was going away from her.

Now Suhana started crying loudly and while crying she was saying "Didi aap na daao (Didi aap na jaao)."

Seeing her crying like this Ana and Swati also started crying. Then Cheenu made everyone quiet and promised Suhana that if ever Suhana feels scared and feels that now she cannot bear it, then she should remember Cheenu. She will definitely come to help them."

And with this promise Cheenu left them all and went away from there. Now Suhana, Ana and Swati were each other's support.

With time everyone got busy in their work, but even now whenever they got time, they would definitely meet each other.

Many years passed by doing this. Now Suhana was 20 years old, Swati was 21 years old and Ana was 22 years old.
