Their laughter continued, and the air in the room filled with a sense of familiarity and warmth, as if the world outside this moment didn't matter. They felt as though they were with their families, friends, and loved ones, and the barriers between them fell. After a while, they managed to compose themselves and gradually stopped laughing.
"By the way, Noey-kun, what is your ability?" Sirius asked with curiosity, tilting his head in confusion. At that moment, the group realized that Noah still hadn't mentioned his ability, and they all focused on him after he gained their attention.
"Well... actually... my ability... how should I say it? Ah, my ability is called 'dreamcrafter,'" Noah said nervously, quickly coming up with a logical lie that would suit his situation in the future.
"Dreamcrafter?" Neriah asked curiously, the name sounded a bit flashy, like something straight out of a fantasy novel.
"It's not as complicated as your abilities, but it allows me to imagine skills in my dreams and turn them into reality, from different ranks," Noah explained, leaving everyone in complete shock. Perhaps this was the best lie he could come up with right now. In the future, he would receive new skills from the system, ones that were completely different, and everyone would start to suspect, but with a lie like this, it perfectly aligned with his current situation.
"A-Are you joking?" Neriah said, surprised and worried, his eyes widening in shock.
"H-How could a skill this powerful even exist?!", Enel said, stunned.
As for Sirius, he remained silent for a moment, then used his "Book Open" skill to check the information on Noah's skill, but he was even more shocked when he saw that the information about Noah's skill was blocked by empty squares [▢▢▢], something that had never happened before. Normally, even if the information was modified, it wouldn't be hidden or blocked in this way. So, he decided to use his "White Lie" skill later to see Noah's information before he revealed it himself, but this led him to another conclusion.
"Then I guess... your skill is ranked S, right?" Sirius asked, deducing that information would only be hidden for a higher-ranked skill than his own.
"S-Rank?!", Enel exclaimed, even more shocked than before.
Noah scratched the back of his head and smiled nervously.
"S-So, does that mean Noah will become one of the 'honored students'?" Neriah asked, clearly anxious.
"Honored students?" Noah asked curiously, tilting his head.
"Yeah, you're new, so you don't know yet, but here, students with S-rank skills are honored and transferred to Sector 4, where they live with the elite. Right now, there are only six students with that rank, and with you, they'll become seven. There's also a chance that some students hide their true abilities. They can lie to the teachers, and even if the teachers discover the lie, they won't care as long as the student isn't a future threat," Sirius explained.
Noah's eyes widened in surprise. The existence of S-rank students was exceptional, and not as rare as he had expected. Six students with this rank could destroy a small country, and the idea that some students hid their talents was shocking to him.
"D-Do honored students live in Sector 4 now?" Noah asked nervously and curiously.
"Right now, the honored students are on a mission outside the university. The mission is still mysterious, but there are many theories... one of them is that they're on an assassination mission to kill the president," Sirius said, laughing as he said the last part.
"T-That's... an interesting theory," Noah said, laughing nervously. He didn't know whether the absence of the honored students was a good or bad thing. On the one hand, he wouldn't be under pressure from them, but on the other hand, if he was classified as an honored student, he didn't know whether that would affect him positively or negatively. Maybe the racist stares would stop, but he would be under pressure from the teachers, students, and their expectations.
"Anyway, that doesn't matter right now. Noey-kun, tell me... would you like to sleep with us tonight~?" Sirius asked eagerly, his eyes shining with joy.
"Sleep here?" Noah looked around the room, noticing again that it was bigger than his room and had better furniture, but that was probably because three people lived there.
"I don't mind," Neriah said without objection.
"Me neither, it would be fun, and we'd have a chance to talk more about Rotchemy", Enel said excitedly, looking forward to the opportunity to talk with Noah about his field of expertise.
"Umm... okay then," Noah said with a gentle smile. This was the first time he had friends, and on the same day he met them, he was going to sleep with them, like a sleepover—something he had never experienced before.
The night passed, and Noah, Sirius, Neriah, and Enel slept together under the same roof. They stayed up late talking, having fun together, discussing themselves and some topics that only men would care about. They only fell asleep when midnight arrived, and they turned off the lights. Sirius was acting strangely, clinging tightly to Noah, not wanting to part from him, and even convinced Noah somehow, and they ended up sleeping together in the same bed.
It was 7:23 AM, and the room was quiet. Everyone was asleep in their beds. In Sirius and Noah's bed, Sirius was hugging Noah tightly, as if clinging to life. Noah was lying stiffly, unable to move slightly because of Sirius, and due to the discomfort he felt all night, he was the first to wake up.
The sun's rays passed through the gaps in the curtains and shone in Noah's face, making it extremely uncomfortable to return to sleep.
"I can't move..." Noah thought to himself silently as he tried to move a little, but Sirius's grip around him only tightened.
"Man, what the fuck is this situation?!" Noah thought to himself in concern, feeling as if he was about to suffocate. At that moment, a vast hidden field covered the entire room, and Noah teleported away, switching places with a pen that was on the table.
"I can't believe I'm using an S-rank skill just for this!" Noah thought to himself as he watched Sirius, Enel, and Neriah sleep peacefully.
Then, Noah smiled faintly, grabbed the window curtains, and opened them, causing sunlight to shine into the entire room, waking Sirius, Neriah, and Enel.
Sirius woke up, extremely annoyed by the light shining directly in his face, interrupting his precious sleep.
"Ah, damn it, who the fuck opened the window?!" Sirius said irritably, scanning his surroundings. Then his eyes landed on Noah, and his mood shifted from annoyance to joy.
"Ah, it was you, Noey-kun. Good morning~," Sirius said in a soft, gentle voice, feeling at ease as soon as he saw Noah.
Enel and Neriah fully woke up, with Enel rubbing his right eye and yawning slightly, while Neriah kept his eyes closed, refusing to wake up. Sirius felt confused when he saw the pen next to him.
Enel grabbed his phone, which was next to him, and opened it to check the time. He was shocked, and his eyes widened completely, and the desire to go back to sleep vanished.
"D-Damn! W-We're late! It's 7:23! We're going to be late!!" Enel said, panic-stricken. At that, Neriah fully woke up from his drowsiness, startled by the tension and shock.
"Noah, we need to leave before 7:30, so don't be late. We'll wait for you outside the compound," Sirius said, feeling uneasy just at the thought of being separated from Noah for a few minutes.
"O-Okay..." Noah said, hurrying to leave, closing the door behind him and heading to his room, which was at the end of the hallway. He placed his hand on the doorknob but noticed that the door was slightly ajar. He entered the room, and a wave of cold air hit him as the window was open.
"I thought I closed it last night," Noah thought to himself, closing the door and the window. Then he noticed a transparent plastic bag inside, containing what seems like clothes
"How did I not notice this when I entered?" Noah said, surprised at his lack of focus. He opened the bag, and inside were the Nova University student uniform clothes.
"I guess the reception worker must have put this here. That's why the door was open," Noah thought to himself as he grabbed the outfit and hurriedly wore it.
The Nova University uniform was truly unique, blending modern elegance with classic luxury. It consisted of a long black jacket embroidered with soft white threads forming mysterious patterns, almost like an ancient language. Under the jacket, Noah wore a white shirt, also from the plastic bag, and the shirt was pure white. The pants were modern black, easy to move in, and comfortable for the university lifestyle. There was also a black scarf wrapped around his left arm, made from soft, transparent fabric, with a prominent black star in the middle, which was the university's emblem, representing "Nova" after all.
Noah adjusted his collar slightly, then left quickly, locking the door behind him. He took the elevator to the ground floor, where many students were. As soon as he exited the elevator, everyone threw him looks of disdain and racism, but Noah was in a hurry and didn't pay them any attention. He hurried outside, where Enel, Neriah, and Sirius were waiting for him in front of the building.
Enel was still yawning, and Neriah's eyes were still closed from exhaustion, while Sirius was eating a loaf of bread. Noah approached them.
"Sorry for being late," Noah said, worried that
the others might have been delayed because of him.
"Oh, don't worry, huh? The uniform suits you, really, Noey-kun~," Sirius said, with a loaf of bread in his mouth, so what came out of his mouth was just incoherent mumbling.
"We don't have time, let's go," said Neriah, feeling a bit anxious. His first class was with a very nervous teacher, so he was worried whether he would be punished for being late.
Everyone hurried toward the northern train station, which was considered the closest to their current location. Noah followed the others, staying behind and trying to focus on the surroundings so he could remember the path and be able to come on his own next time.
At 7:27 AM, Noah and the others arrived at the train station, which was crowded. The train was about to depart, so everyone rushed inside, pushing forward until they finally entered and settled inside. It didn't take long before the train sped off. Noah's first official day at Nova University had begun.
