It's been so long since Xavier has seen Evelyn, and so he decided to contact her. He sat on the couch in the living room with a lazy yet graceful demeanor fit for a king, even though his guard wasn't up, he still looked like a handsome king, dark and powerful but one wouldn't dare to move close nor touch him. Picking up his phone, he placed sent her a text message.
Evelyn replied almost immediately as if she had been waiting for his text.
"Hello to you too Xavier, how are you doing?", adding a smile emoji to the message
"I'm good Evelyn, it's been so long since I last saw you"
Evelyn smiled as she read the message, so he has been thinking about me.
"Well... I thought you completely forgot about me after our date"
"Why would i?, I've been swamped with work"
"Ohh okay. Soo...."
Xavier smirked lightly, he could sense what she was thinking.
"I'd love to take you somewhere Evelyn, how tight is your schedule?"
"Not really, but i think I'll be available on a Saturday", she typed absentmindedly swirling her hair.
Xavier stared at the message, running over his schedule through his mind, seems he won't be that busy on Saturday then.
Evelyn waited for him to reply her message as it had been marked read. What's taking him so long, she thought.
Jazzmine voice broke her concentration on the message Xavier was about to reply.
"Lynieeee!!!", Jazmine smiled as she skipped the stairs to meet her older sister, Evelyn smiled at her, "you're awake now"
"Yes I am, look what i found", jazzmine said as she brought out the picture she kept from the elevator.
She showed her sister who in turn furrowed her brow as she saw Xavier and his right hand man in the picture with a high school uniform.
"Where did you get this picture from jazz?.."
"At the elevator in Alphaplay, I went to see a friend and kinda bumped Into a cute handsome guy, he's rude though", she continued "he kinda dropped the picture and i happened to see it"
"Woww", Evelyn replied completely short of words, "keep it well jazz, you might meet the guy someday"
"Yea sure.."
Just on cue, Xavier sent a reply to her message..
: that's good then, I'll see you on Saturday, I'll send my assistant to come pick you up, wear something casual..
She replied
:yea sure
A smile tugging on her lips.
Jazzmine looked at her sister who was smiling at her phone screen.
"Looks like you've got someone", she said, grabbing an apple and took a bite.
"Shut it jazz", Evelyn said with a blush creeping on her cheeks
Jazzmine snickered at her sister's expression, that's what i thought.. she muttered in her mind.
"Who's the lucky guy Lynie", she asked again wanting to tease her sister.
"Oh trust me, just an acquittance, no feelings involved", Evelyn replied as she proceeded to cut up some fruits on the kitchen cabinet.
Lynie smiled silently, she knew her sister too well, years apart without seeing each other doesn't mean she couldn't read her sister's emotions, after all, they talked through the phone.
Jazzmine decided to let go of the topic for now, she'd surely get her sister to spill the beans, she was confident on that.
