A feral roar erupted from Severian as he saw Leviathis's decapitated corpse slump to the ground. His eyes burned with fury, his body trembling with rage.
Then—his body twisted unnaturally.
With a horrifying series of cracks and tears, Severian's torso split apart. His flesh ripped open in a grotesque display as a new, nightmarish form emerged from within.
Towering above them, Mammonis now stood in his full demonic form—a monstrous being wrapped in obsidian armor, his four twisted horns curving back like a crown of death. His clawed fingers gripped a massive, gold-detailed blade, pulsing with a dark, soul-draining energy. His eyes—empty voids of blackness—glowed with an eerie crimson flicker.
His mere presence felt wrong, suffocating. The air grew heavy, charged with a malignant force. The lifeless body of a fallen royal guard lay near his feet—suddenly, the corpse withered, its skin shriveling as Mammonis's aura drained every last fragment of life.
