Chapter 650 - Chapter 650: Capturing Entei and Suicune

"Tyranitar, deal with Raikou."

"Zapdos, take Suicune."

"Blastoise, you're against Entei."

Gary gave the orders quickly, and the three Pokémon immediately moved toward their assigned opponents.

The three Legendary Beasts also understood the situation. If they couldn't defeat Gary, there was no way they could continue chasing Zoroark.

"Awoo!"

Entei attacked first, spitting out a scorching ball of flame.

"Kame!"

Blastoise immediately countered with Hydro Pump.

The two attacks collided, producing a large cloud of steam. But Blastoise's Hydro Pump was clearly stronger, breaking through Entei's flames and continuing forward. Fortunately, Entei reacted quickly and dodged in time.

Otherwise, that hit would have hurt.

Seeing that the situation was bad, Suicune and Raikou scattered in different directions. However, Gary's Pokémon immediately moved to intercept them.

Raikou was still relatively fine. Tyranitar was strong, but it was slow and couldn't catch up with Raikou easily.

Suicune, on the other hand, was in a terrible position. Against Zapdos, it couldn't escape at all.

"Gengar, use Mean Look on Entei and Raikou," Gary ordered.

"Gengar!"

Gengar emerged from Gary's shadow, and two red lights shot from its eyes, landing on Raikou and Entei.

Neither Raikou nor Entei had expected a Pokémon to be hiding in Gary's shadow, and both were caught by Mean Look before they could react.

"Tyranitar!"

Tyranitar started a Sandstorm, immediately trapping itself and Raikou inside the swirling sand.

Meanwhile, Suicune and Zapdos were chasing each other through the residential area, but Suicune was no match for Zapdos. The sky had long been covered by dark clouds, so Zapdos' Thunder could hit Suicune almost without fail.

Suicune was miserable because of this. It could only forcefully use Extrasensory to resist, but it couldn't really fight back. Zapdos' level completely suppressed it.

On Gary's side, Blastoise had his direct command and completely suppressed Entei. Whether it was a special attack exchange or close combat, Entei was not Blastoise's match.

As for Raikou and Tyranitar, both were trapped inside the Sandstorm. Raikou couldn't tell the direction at all. Even though it was very agile, there was no way for it to deal with Tyranitar in that environment.

"Who is that boy?"

"He's so strong. He actually stopped the Legendary Pokémon by himself."

Karl and Rowena were both shocked. They hadn't expected a young Trainer to be able to hold back all three Legendary Beasts at once.

"Should we try to persuade him?"

"Yes. Entei and the others misunderstood Zoroark. If we explain it, maybe they'll understand."

"Alright. Let's go together."

After a brief discussion, the two decided to step forward and tell Gary the truth behind everything.

As they walked out of the woods, Gengar noticed them immediately.

"Gengar."

Gengar called out to remind Gary.

Gary looked over and saw Karl and Rowena approaching. He remembered them as people involved in the original incident. They lived in Crown City and had not evacuated.

"Young man," Karl said quickly, "we're residents of Crown City. The Three Legendary Beasts misunderstood Zoroark. If you explain it to them, they should understand."

"Do you think they're in a mood to listen?" Gary asked, pointing toward Entei.

At that moment, Entei was gathering flames again and launching another powerful attack at Blastoise.

Boom!!

Blastoise was hit, but the impact wasn't serious. It immediately countered with Water Pulse. Entei avoided the first wave with its speed, but it was still struck by one of the water spheres.

No matter how anyone looked at it, the three Legendary Beasts did not seem willing to listen right now.

After all, these three were not the same as Ho-Oh's original guards. They were not nearly as calm or rational.

"Blastoise, let's end this quickly. Mega Evolve!"

Gary didn't want to waste any more time. He took out his Key Stone.

"Kame!"

Rainbow-colored light wrapped around Blastoise's body. The Mega Evolution symbol appeared, and Blastoise evolved into Mega Blastoise.

"Roar!!"

Entei roared and spat out Fire Blast.

"Hydro Cannon!"

Mega Blastoise's arm cannons and the cannon on its back all fired at once. A terrifying blast of high-pressure water surged forward, instantly extinguishing Fire Blast before slamming into Entei.

The force pushed Entei straight back into a wall.

Bang!

Entei crashed heavily and lost consciousness on the spot.

"Go, Poké Ball."

Gary took out a pink Poké Ball and threw it at Entei.

The Heal Ball hit Entei and drew it inside. After shaking three times, it clicked shut.

[Ding! Entei has been captured. The reward has been distributed to the system storage.]

Gary walked over and picked up the Heal Ball, but he did not activate its healing function yet.

Once Entei was healed, it might immediately break out of the ball. It was better to wait until Suicune was captured as well.

Gary then looked toward the Sandstorm tornado. From time to time, thunderous sounds came from inside, and he couldn't tell exactly what was happening.

This Sandstorm tornado was Tyranitar's special use of Sandstorm, almost like a desert cage. The range was large, and the sand was thick. Anyone trapped inside would lose direction with the slightest carelessness, not to mention having to deal with Tyranitar's attacks at the same time.

"Zapdos!"

At that moment, Zapdos flew back.

It was not alone. In its talons, it was carrying Suicune.

After landing in front of Gary, Zapdos dropped Suicune onto the ground.

Karl and Rowena were stunned. They hadn't expected another Legendary Pokémon to be dealt with so quickly.

Gary took out another Heal Ball in front of them and threw it at Suicune.

The Heal Ball shook three times and clicked shut.

[Ding! Suicune has been captured. The reward has been distributed to the system storage.]

[Ding! Task completed. The reward has been distributed to the system storage.]

It had taken almost two years, but the task of capturing the Three Legendary Beasts was finally complete.

As for Raikou, Gary had no intention of capturing it. He already had one.

"Tyranitar, you can remove Sandstorm now," Gary ordered.

As soon as he finished speaking, the Sandstorm dispersed, revealing Tyranitar and Raikou inside.

The battle between them had not fully reached a conclusion, but judging from Raikou's battered appearance, it would probably have lost soon.

"Grr…"

Raikou let out a low roar. Once the Sandstorm disappeared, it immediately looked around for Entei and Suicune, but it couldn't find them anywhere.

"Raikou, calm down. Your companions are fine."

Gary held up the two Heal Balls and activated their healing function.

These Heal Balls had been upgraded. In the past, a Heal Ball would immediately heal a Pokémon after capture, which could cause the Pokémon to regain strength and break free. Now, the Trainer could choose whether to activate the healing effect within one hour. If not activated manually, the Heal Ball would not begin treatment.

"Raikou…?"

Raikou stared at the two Poké Balls, clearly confused. It didn't understand what Gary meant by showing it two Heal Balls.
