Hey, how about I give you a ride?" Jay suggests as we step out of the office building.
"Thanks, but I'll be fine," I respond, trying to politely decline. We live in completely different directions—I stay at the pack house where my mom works as a cook, while Jay and his family have their own place on the other side of the city.
"Oh, but I'm heading to the pack house today too! There's a party I need to attend," Jay mentions, noticing my hesitation.
"That's right, the welcome party for the Shadow Black Pack's alpha and his daughter. I totally forgot about that! In that case, sure, let's go together." I agree, realizing it's actually convenient for both of us.
