A Mystery Left Unsolved
I pedaled home, the wind rushing past me, but my mind was clouded with thoughts.
"Who could have kissed me that day…?"
The note—the cryptic message about finding the love of my life—still lingered in my mind, teasing me with its mystery.
I had assumed it was Shreya all this time, but after today…
"Could it be that girl from the cafeteria? Tanvi?"
She had approached me out of nowhere, boldly inviting me to hang out this Saturday. Was it a coincidence, or was there something more?
I clenched the straps of my backpack, my heart pounding with uncertainty.
"But… the note didn't have my name on it. If it really was her, does that mean she didn't know my name back then?"
The idea made sense, but it also raised more questions.
"How can I even confirm that she's the one?"
I sighed, stepping off my bicycle as I reached home. The house was quiet, bathed in the warm hues of the setting sun. I leaned my bike against the wall, stretching my arms as I tried to shake off my thoughts.
"I guess I'll have to wait until Saturday to find out."
With that, I headed inside, changing into my workout clothes. If my mind refused to calm down, maybe my body could take over instead.
I had too many questions.
And this weekend, I was determined to find the answers.
