Luke POV. Shy and timid
I know she's hiding something from me, but I just don't know why she doesn't trust me enough to tell me .
I left the room fuming and she ran past me and blocked my way.
Wait Luke, listen to me' .
What do you have to say huh, I don't want you hiding things from me, it makes me feel as if I haven't gain your trust..if this relationship is gonna work then we have to trust each other , I ..' she cuts me off.
No it's not like that babe, I..I just'.
So tell .. what's the reason huh..I really need to know.' she packed her hair revealing her red swollen cheek , what….
Who slapped you.. who did this to you huh..oh my gosh ' I moved closer to her and rubbed it softly and she broke down in tears, I sighed deeply.
Hey..I'm so sorry for..for everything, I never knew this was what you're going through, I'm sorry I raised my voice at you but who did this to you' I inquired.
I was..so bored at home and I concluded on taking a tour of the neighborhood..so I was hungry and stopped by at a restaurant, I met Rose there, she was the one who slapped warning of the consequences of staying with you, she told me to stay away from you or else.. she'll kill me.. Luke I don't want to die I was scared..I'm sorry I didn't inform you about it earlier' she said wiping her wet cheek with her palm.
She also threatened me at the party " she dragged her dress up a bit revealing a wound.
She pierced my stomach with someone, that was why I screamed, I wasn't having cramps. She was crying so much that I couldn't figure out what to do.
Hey, it's alright baby ' I hugged her tightly.
I'm right here for you.. you don't have to be scared or worried, I'll keep you safe .
I grabbed her face and pecked her.

This explains why she acted a bit weird at the party
I managed to put her to sleep some minutes later
I just can't imagine what she had been through, I just pray she doesn't break down.
She is still the same Iris I know since high school shy timid, nice and caring , I remembered how we became friends.
We were having thus crazy practical in the laboratory and she was my partner.
I never knew our parents were friends too .
And just like that we became friends, really close and inseparable and I had loved her since then, but those witch just had to come in and ruin everything.
I have vowed to make her happy at all times and that's my priority
Iris POV
Life as being pretty fair with me for the pasts two weeks, I have come across Rose since the last incident and I do not wish to bump into her again not in a billion years.
But today is a very beautiful day because we are paying Luke's parents a visit , his mom just came back yesterday and she can't wait to meet me . The last time I saw her was when I was in high school.
She is super nice and caring to everyone, I usually call her mom.
The moment she found out we were getting married, she asked to see me and I can't wait to see her too.
Well Luke is not that close with his dad which I don't know why, but he and his mom are inseparable.
Luke parked in front of their.. mansion and we went in .
Wow ..I missed this place, it's been years' I blurted out. It still looks the same massive and beautiful.
I'll go call them down ' he said and pecked my forehead.
I sat down and waited for their arrival.
A woman came down from the stairs with a smile plastered on her face that is mom.
Iris..oh my goodness, is that you my darling" she said approaching me.
I stand with a smile .
She hugged me and stare at my face before staring at Luke's face.
Oh my dear, it's nice to see you , you look more prettier and stunning than before, how have you been my dear' she asked holding my hands
I have been fine mom, a lot has happened but I thank God, what about you mom' I asked
I'm okay as you can see, you know I'm just so happy you're the one he's getting married to, I don't want him to marry the wrong girl and end up regretting it" she said
Dad came downstairs too.
Dad ' I said and hugged him too.

Great ..I'm glad to see you two again ' I must say they are very nice , I just don't know why Luke doesn't like his dad.
I really missed you both ' I said and sat down .

I'm sorry for your mom's death, it was so tragic " dad said.
It's fine dad it's in the past , I mean I can't blame anyone for her death and as a matter of fact I have both of you now and Luke , I have nothing to worry about , you're my family now ' I replied.
Hmm you are a very good child my dear' she glanced at Luke.
Listen young man, you must take really good care if her because if you don't, I'll disown you keep that in mind ' she joked. I ended up laughing.
Listen my dear, if he raise his voice at you talkless of maltreating you , don't hesitate to inform me , I will deal with him myself ' sge promised.
Roger that mom, I'll notice you, but to be honest with you mom, I don't think he can do that, I trust him, so we are totally fine nothing to worry about ' I assured her
