There's an old saying—"One doesn't hit a smiling face." Ren Fa didn't say much and followed them inside. He was taken to a guest room, and the rest of his group was also assigned rooms.
The man from before spoke again, "Mr. Ren, have you considered staying here? China's situation isn't looking great right now. If you choose to stay, you can name your price—whether it's money or women, whatever you want!"
As he spoke, he glanced at Xiaoling, who was sitting beside Ren Fa.
Ren Fa didn't react at all. What would a zombie need so much money for? Women? Women would only slow down my biting speed.
"If you're trying to convince me to stay, don't bother. My conditions are beyond what you can offer. You don't have the ability to meet them."
Hearing this, Yamamoto Kazuichiichi became even more interested. As long as you have a condition, that's good—it's worse if you don't.
"Mr. Ren, tell me your condition. How can you be so sure I can't make it happen?"
As a leader in Japan's cultivation world, he had considerable influence. There weren't many things he couldn't accomplish in Japan.
You sure are confident, aren't you?
"It's nothing major. I just heard the Empress is quite impressive. I'd like to meet her. If you can make that happen, maybe I'll consider staying."
Ren Fa wasn't serious—he was just trying to provoke them. The current emperor wasn't just a symbolic figure like after World War II. Right now, the emperor was considered a god by the Japanese people.
Unexpectedly, the man didn't get angry. Instead, he fell into deep thought.
Now it was Ren Fa's turn to panic. Oh no, don't tell me you're actually considering it!
"Mr. Ren, your request is indeed a bit difficult. How about choosing something else?"
Hearing this, Ren Fa let out a sigh of relief. Whew, you scared me for a second—I thought you were going to agree!
"Well, if it's not possible, then forget it. I won't push it."
Yamamoto Kazuichiichi's smile disappeared, his expression turning cold. "Mr. Ren, are you sure you don't want to reconsider? I am very sincere in my offer."
A large group of women entered the room after a brief command.
"If you're interested, all of these women can be yours!" Yamamoto Kazuichiichi said, assuming that Ren Fa must like women—otherwise, he wouldn't have made such a condition earlier.
Ren Fa was momentarily dazzled by the sight of so many women entering.
He sighed inwardly, thinking, *What a waste!*
Did he not like beautiful women? No, he did! In his past life, he was just a regular man in his thirties—of course, he liked them. But staying here? That was out of the question.
"Alright, enough talking! Didn't you put out a message saying you wanted to challenge me? Well then, let's get to it!"
Yamamoto Kazuichiichi didn't fully understand Ren Fa's words, but he got the general idea—Ren Fa was rejecting his offer.
"In that case, there's no other choice," Yamamoto Kazuichiichi said flatly.
"If you refuse to stay, then I'll have to send you straight to hell!"
With that, he swiftly pulled a katana from his wide sleeve and thrust it toward Ren Fa. The blade moved like lightning, flashing white as it stabbed into Ren Fa's body.
The sword pierced two inches deep, and for a moment, both men were stunned.
Yamamoto Kazuichiichi was shocked that, even with his level of skill and the strongest enchanted sword in Japan, he hadn't been able to run Ren Fa through completely.
Ren Fa, on the other hand, was surprised because this was the first time he had actually been injured since becoming a zombie.
"...Damn it! You little coward, you can't handle losing!" Ren Fa cursed, reaching out to grab him, but Yamamoto Kazuichiichi quickly dodged.
Ren Fa then removed his restraints, revealing his true zombie form—his face turned green, and his fangs grew long.
Yamamoto Kazuichiichi was startled. He had no idea Ren Fa was a zombie. The last reports only described him as a powerful martial artist, nothing more.
It wasn't entirely Yamamoto Kazuichiichi's fault—Ren Fa had previously killed the last challenger before any word could spread. And when he visited the Onmyoji clan, he never needed to transform.
Hearing the commotion, the battle soon spread to another room, where Uncle Nine and his group quickly gathered.
The others stood outside, watching the fierce fight inside the room, but none could step in to help.
Then, a large number of Japanese fighters rushed in, summoning various spirits and ghosts to attack Uncle Nine's group.
Seeing this, Ren Fa quickly ordered, "Xiao Ling, go help Uncle Nine and the others!"
Without hesitation, Xiao Ling became a blur, dashing toward the ghosts.
Meanwhile, Yamamoto Kazuichiichi grew more frustrated the longer the fight went on.
He was the strongest warrior in Japan, yet he still couldn't match Ren Fa! His only hope lay in the demon sword he wielded—a blade that had been nurtured with dark rituals for years. Over fifty thousand lives had been sacrificed to it, and the sword carried a terrifying aura. Anyone cut by it, even slightly, was doomed to die.
And yet...
Looking at Ren Fa, still full of energy, Yamamoto Kazuichiichi clenched his teeth. If he made it out of this alive, he was going to personally kill whoever gave him that faulty information.
