Chapter 167 - Chapter 166: Hogwarts

"How are you so fast?! That was less than ten seconds!"

Zhang Wenjing was sensing Yang Tao's magic and found that he had very little mana—just about the level of a first-year student.

But what shocked her was his insane mana regeneration speed. In under ten seconds, his completely drained mana had fully recovered.

Hearing her words, Yang Tao suddenly jumped like someone who just found a stranger standing behind them in the shower.

"Fast? What do you mean?! You haven't even tried it yourself!"

Zhang Wenjing looked at his reaction and said, "I meant your mana recovery speed—it's way too fast!"

Yang Tao let out a deep breath.

"You scared me! I thought you were talking about how fast I got here!"

"Alright, Wenjing, teach me how to use magic! I downloaded it from the group, but for some reason, I can't use it!"

Zhang Wenjing focused on his mana and said, "Alright, follow my lead. Take out your wand and say 'Lumos!'"

She gave her wand a gentle wave, and the tip lit up like a lightbulb.

Yang Tao quickly pulled out his own wand and copied her movements.

"Lumos!"

The tip of his wand also lit up—but if Zhang Wenjing's wand was like a regular flashlight, then his was like someone tossing in a flashbang. And it wasn't just one flash—it kept going.

"Ahh!" Zhang Wenjing yelped.

Yang Tao panicked and quickly put his wand away before looking at her.

Her eyes were red, and she was glaring at him.

"Hmph! You did that on purpose, didn't you? If I hadn't trained my eyes, you'd be hearing me play the erhu right now!"

Feeling guilty, Yang Tao tossed a healing potion on the ground to help her recover.

"I swear I didn't mean to! I just followed your instructions and said the spell—I had no idea this would happen!"

Zhang Wenjing rubbed her now-healed eyes, walked over, and smacked Yang Tao hard.

"You've never used magic before, so you don't know how to control your mana output. You should practice 'Lumos' to get the hang of it!"

Yang Tao nodded and pulled out his wand to practice again.

"Wait! Let me get out of here first—call me if something goes wrong!"

With that, Zhang Wenjing quickly left the room.

Once she was gone, Yang Tao immediately cast the spell again—this time, he was ready for it.

A blinding white light filled his vision, but he focused on adjusting his mana output. Slowly, the brightness faded until only a small glow remained at the tip of his wand.

Memorizing this feeling, he practiced a few more times. Before long, he had mastered the spell.

"Wenjing, I got it! Teach me another spell!"

Using his own energy to cast a skill for the first time, he felt an excitement that no external tool could provide.

After half a day of learning, Zhang Wenjing was completely drained.

"I can't do this anymore! I'm really out of energy!"

Yang Tao looked at her with disdain. "That's it? You're done already?"

Zhang Wenjing snapped, "Even rich landlords run out of food! If you want to learn more, go find a professor or the headmaster!"

Hearing that, Yang Tao suddenly realized—why not just go straight to Professor Flitwick or Dumbledore to learn magic?

He wasn't a student, so as long as he followed the rule of equivalent exchange, it should be fine.

"Wenjing, if I go to the school right now to find a professor or the headmaster, it's no problem, right? And if I take out Voldemort while I'm at it, that's fine too?"

Zhang Wenjing nodded and laughed. "No problem. It's not like I'm the Chosen One who has to play cat and mouse with Voldemort!"

"You can go find a professor, but be careful. A stranger sneaking into the school will definitely get questioned—or worse, caught!"

Yang Tao grinned confidently. "You doubt me? Alright, I'm going!"

He turned invisible and headed straight for Hogwarts Castle.

Even though he had been here countless times, this was his first time actually entering the castle. Before, he had just come to borrow some magic and left.

Looking up at the towering castle, he suddenly wanted one for himself. "Should I build a full-scale replica in my world? But… that sounds exhausting."

Shaking his head, he wandered around the school.

As he walked through the corridors, he marveled at the paintings, where people moved and walked around inside their frames.

"If I die one day, I want to be painted into a portrait too—but one that's kept iprivate, not on display."

Yang Tao imagined a peaceful afterlife.

He walked through the castle for a long time but didn't see any professors or find the headmaster's office—just students.

As he kept searching, he suddenly spotted a familiar figure. Dressed in black robes with messy hair, it was none other than Professor Snape.

Yang Tao's eyes lit up.

"That guy's Sectumsempra spell is really something—sharp, deadly, and completely invisible. Perfect."
