Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12

Tenten blurted out, "It's because my brother is at home, and he makes his own ninja tools!"

Kazuki nodded and explained,

"Yes, I enjoy crafting ninja tools and using them in battle."

After hearing Kazuki and Tenten's explanation, Might Guy's expression returned to normal, though a hint of surprise remained on his face. He had never heard of blacksmithing contributing to physical strength.

"Kazuki, it seems you have great potential as a shinobi!"

Might Guy gave Kazuki a thumbs-up, his eyes full of admiration.

"I believe you'll become a powerful ninja in the future!" He grinned, laughing heartily.

"Maybe you'll even surpass Kakashi and become the youngest Jōnin in the village! Hahahaha!"

Of course, while praising Kazuki, Might Guy didn't forget to encourage Tenten and Rock Lee as well.

"You two need to keep up with Kazuki's progress! Don't get discouraged—you'll all become great shinobi one day!"

"Yes, Guy-sensei!"

Tenten and Lee responded in unison, both filled with determination.

Neither of them felt disheartened by Kazuki's skill. Instead, his presence motivated them to train even harder.

"YOSH! This is the power of youth!"

Might Guy placed his hands on his hips, threw his head back, and laughed.

"Today, let's put your training to the test! Kazuki, show me the power of the ninja tools you've created!"

"Guy-sensei, how are we going to test them?" Tenten asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.

"You'll find out soon!" Might Guy answered with a mysterious smile.

He swiftly formed hand seals, and with a loud "Bang!", white smoke billowed around them. As it cleared, three identical shadow clones of Might Guy stood on the training ground.

"These are my shadow clones. Each one possesses only a tenth of my full strength," he explained.

"They will be your opponents for today's sparring session!"

"Now, give it your all and defeat me!"

Kazuki was eager for the challenge. After so much training, he was excited to test his progress in real combat. Even if his opponent was just a fraction of Might Guy's strength, it was still a valuable learning experience.

"Are you all ready? Who wants to go first?" Might Guy asked with a booming laugh.

"I'll go first!"

Rock Lee stepped forward, his fists punching the air in rapid succession, brimming with enthusiasm.

"Not bad! Go for it, Lee!"

"Guy-sensei, here I come!"

With those words, Lee lunged forward, dashing toward the nearest shadow clone.

"Haaah!"

Lee threw a punch, but the clone effortlessly dodged.

As he observed Lee's movements, Might Guy gave him pointers.

"Good strength, but your aim needs improvement."

"Come on, Lee! Keep pushing yourself!"

"You dodged that? Then take this!"

Lee's determination never wavered. With a loud cry, he launched another powerful kick.

"Sensei, watch closely! I want to see how far my strength has come!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Lee unleashed a flurry of punches, raining down like a storm.

Yet, to Might Guy, they were nothing more than the strikes of an eager student still refining his technique.

All of Rock Lee's attacks were effortlessly dodged by Might Guy.

"Huff… huff…"

After a dozen strikes, Rock Lee was already out of breath.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead and said with admiration,

"Phew…! Guy-sensei, you're truly incredible!"

He had attacked Might Guy relentlessly, yet he couldn't even graze the hem of his teacher's jumpsuit—let alone cause any damage to his shadow clone.

"Lee, I've assessed your current combat strength. That's enough training for today," Might Guy's shadow clone declared casually.

In the very next instant—

The spot where the clone had been standing was empty, leaving behind only an afterimage.

"What?!"

Such astonishing speed!

Rock Lee froze for a brief moment,

but as soon as he realized what had happened, Might Guy was already behind him.

His legs bent slightly, and with a powerful stomp—

Boom!

A deep, resounding impact shook the ground,

sending ripples of force outward.

Rock Lee, being the closest to the source, was caught in the shockwave and hurled backward!

The battle was over in an instant.

From the moment Might Guy launched his attack to the second Rock Lee was sent flying,

the entire exchange lasted no more than three seconds!

And yet, Might Guy had held back—he had only struck the ground.

If that punch had been aimed at Rock Lee directly, it could have easily been fatal!

Is this the true power of taijutsu?

Is this the strength of Konoha's Elite Jonin?!

Rock Lee was in awe.

Even Tenten, who had been watching from the sidelines, was left speechless.

With a soft poof, Might Guy dispelled the shadow clone that had been training with Rock Lee.

Then, striding over to where his student had landed, he helped him up and offered words of encouragement:

"Lee, you have exceptional talent in taijutsu, and your progress during this time has been remarkable!

After all, you're not even officially a Genin yet, and you've already come this far.

Keep up your training! Hard work can surpass natural talent!"

Rock Lee, though initially frustrated, quickly regained his composure.

"Yes, Guy-sensei! I'll train even harder from now on!"

Might Guy nodded in satisfaction.

He had placed his faith in the right student.

Lee's perseverance and unwavering spirit were truly commendable—

qualities that made him worth guiding.

Then, turning to the others, he asked with his usual enthusiasm,

"Alright! Who's next?"

"Me, me, me!"

Before Tenten or anyone else could respond, she had already dashed forward.

She faced off against another of Might Guy's shadow clones,

immediately unleashing a relentless barrage of ninja tools—kunai, shuriken, senbon—

throwing them as if she had an unlimited supply.

Rock Lee, watching from the sidelines, was momentarily stunned.

His eyes sparkled with admiration.

So this is how ninja from well-off clans fight?!

They're loaded!

However—

Tenten's attack patterns were still too straightforward.

Relying solely on long-range weapon techniques,

she could only keep up with Might Guy for a brief moment before he closed the distance…
