I have thought long and hard. It's true I'm pissed, and work stress ain't helping it. Nobody likes dealing with shit everyday. And it's not really getting better. Plus there's always some stupid questions , which really makes me fear for the future of humanity 💀
I mean, it's not like I wrote this in Latin and Ancient Greek remix, with a complex plot that makes the Da Vinci Code look like Dora the explorer 🤷🏼♂️
Yesterday, I was scrolling Reddit and saw a post on the fanfic authors thread, about an author going through similar shit like me.
I got curious and checked it, and it was quite interesting. There were many good suggestions, One guy said something like this, " If you truly feel like quitting, read your story from chapter 1. Read the story and the response. Pretend you are reading this for the first time.
If you read upto whatever you have posted, feel that your work is truly good, and notice that the haters are less than 10% despite their loud mouth and pestering presence, you are doing better than good.
You are only getting the hate due to envy or stupidity, catering to which is beneath your level."
That kinda hit hard.
So I started reading the story as a regular reader, felt the efforts I poured into it, and saw the readers reactions to my work over the chapters. It was quite interesting to binge read my own story. But it did provide me with some new insights and clarity.
It was stupid of me ignore the overall positives, and trying to find proper critism or decency from people lacking mental capacity to understand my story. Kinda like not noticing the forest for the trees.
For that, I apologize.
I know the story isn't perfect. That's why I try to improve it as much as possible . Without checking feedbacks, it's quite hard to do so. And when you see shit among flowers, your mind automatically focuses on that smell lol
I have also realized, even if I write a masterpiece, I will still get people telling me to change things to adapt to their taste, and if I do that, someone else will get pissed. You can't make everyone happy.
So I would rather do something that please myself.
From the all the comments till now, most of you believe it is a decent story. So I will consider my writing skills up to standard and stop looking through countless feedbacks cz many will be just bad.
I won't ruin my mood trying to find the good ones from the rest. That's the optimal course of action if I want to continue.
I will let the rankings decide the rest. If it's high up there, it means it's doing good and I should Keep it up, if not, that means either people stopped reading, the story is bad , or it's not matching the chinese flavor ya'll are accustomed to💀
I guess I'll have to be more commercial rather than the idiot who did things just out of goodness to spread joy.
Lastly, to the critics who act like conssieur, write your own story, apply your advice and just do your own thing. See how good you really think you are, and how good you actually can do.
Sometimes, even good advice can be harmful if you don't consider bigger picture.
For example, you whine if something doesn't go your way, but you never consider how that one change will affect the overall theme and quality . Then you don't like what that change brings !
Just cz something works in one story, it won't work on another. Otherwise, it's basically the same shit over and over again, and that just doesn't make sense.
Apply it on yourself and see the results before telling someone else🤷 I will only do what is acceptable in my eyes and fits my standard.
I have seen so many people whining in early chapters, but they all vanished after I explained or edited the parts they complained about. That's what I get for being nice lol. I won't entertain that kinda shitty behavior any more.
So yeah, I'm gonna try my best to write as far as I can. I won't interact much like before after this lesson, and just accept that you can't stop lifeless losers from ruining good things because their life sucks. Harsh words, but it's appropriate.
I can take this as a learning opportunity for dealing with idiots as I'll have to do that once I land that promotion 😂

Now enough of that! Love me, hate me it doesn't matter, I will do my own thing as long as I can. Btw, I will edit some earlier chapters to make it better and fill some plotholes.
