Alejandra didn't return to the room for a long time. Sunny began to panic when she didn't find her phone. She knew Ariana must have called her a dozen times.
"Are you ok dear?" The nurse asked. "I need to call someone but i just can't find my phone" Sunny said. "That's fine, you can use mine" Sunny said. "Really?" Sunny asked.
"Sure" The nurse replied. Sunny took her phone and dialed Ariana's number. Ariana answered the call. "Hello" Ariana said. "Hello, Ariana" "Who's this?" Ariana asked. "It's me, Sunny"
"Dude where have you been? i called you like a gazillion times but you didn't answer" Ariana said. "I'm sorry, i don't know where i dropped my phone" Sunny said. "Whose phone is this?" Ariana asked.
"A friend. Anyway, i hope there's no problem at home?" Sunny asked. "Actually there is, that's why i called you" Ariana said. "What happened? What did you do?" "What do you mean by what did i do? I didn't do anything. It's just that Sofia is in the hospital" Ariana said.
"What? How? What happened?" Sunny asked. "She had an allergic reaction to the cookies left in my bag" Ariana said. "She did what? How could you put a cookie that contains nut in your bag knowing fully well that Sofia loves cookies?" Sunny asked.
"I honestly forgot. Look i wasn't home when she ate the cookie okay?" Ariana said trying to defend herself. "Send me the address of the hospital, i'll be right there" Sunny said. She ended the cal and minutes later Ariana texted her location. "Isn't that downstairs?" The nurse asked. "So they're here?" Sunny asked.
"That reminds me, i remember a little girl was rushed to the due to peanut allergy" Another nurse said. "Do you know who brought her?" "I remember seeing two ladies. One had black hair while the other had purple hair" She said. {That's them alright. I leave them for a day and they're in the hospital?} "Um,what room are they at" Sunny asked.
"Room seventeen" The nurse said. "Aright, i'll be on my way" Sunny said. "Wait you can't leave the room, what if your girlfriend comes back?" The nurse asked. "Tell her you came to the room and met it empty. Don't let her know where i went to" Sunny said.
"No problem" The nurse said. Sunny felt a lot of pain but she had to endure because Sofia needs her. She held the rail for support and went downstairs. She looked for room seventeen. she was finally able to locate the room, she stood in front of the door.
She took a deep breath before opening the door. Inside the room Ariana and Audrey sat beside Sofia. "I left you both in charge for and Sofia ends up in the hospital?" Sunny's voice echoed in the room.
They both looked at Sunny. "It was an accident" Ariana said. "Bitch what happened to you head?" Audrey asked. "Nothing" Sunny said. "Did you take a big huhu yesterday?" Audrey asked. "Perhaps her butt couldn't take it, poor guy ended up scaring he for life" Ariana said.
"Would you two stop it, i didn't take any huhu, nobody scared my.... Hold on a sec why am i answering that question? How's Sofia?" Sunny asked. "Thank goodness we got here just in time" Audrey said.
"I'm so sorry, I was so busy with work that i forgot the cookies in my bag" Ariana said. Audrey looks at Sunny. "What are you staring at" Sunny asked. "Where you shot?" Audrey asked.
"No, no..... i wasn't shot" Sunny replied. "I think it's more like she was stabbed. i saw it on the news this morning, that's why i tried calling her" Ariana said. "There's no need to lie Sunny, we're just worried about you, that's all" Audrey said with concern.
"So how does it feel to be stabbed?" Ariana asked. "It hurts" Sunny replied. "Mmm i remember the first time i was stabbed, oh what a thrill" Audrey said. "Oohh i remember mine, a cute chinese guy stabbed after we had sex in L.A" Ariana said.
"You guys are delusional" Sunny said. "It must have be legendary to experience an event just like that" Ariana said. "Fuck you" Sunny replied. Sunny sat beside Sofia. "What did the doctor say?" Sunny asked. "She would be fine, don't fret" Ariana said.
The room fell silent for a while. "Sunny may I have a word with you?" Ariana asked. "Sure" was all Sunny said. "Outside"
Sunny paused for a while, she looks at Audrey. "Don't worry, I'll inform you once she's awake" Audrey said. "Alright" Sunny replied with a smile. Soon enough both girls went outside to discuss. "What was so important that made you drag me out here?" Sunny asked in curiosity
"I'll start simple, how are you feeling?" Ariana asked as she leans on the wall. Sunny sat on a chair beside Ariana. "I'm fine Ariana, I made that clear before" Sunny said. Ariana clears her throat, she pondering the situation at hand. "Ariana say something, you're making me worry"
"Are you still going to work for that woman despite everything that has happened?" Ariana asked. "Yes" Sunny replied. "Despite everything that has happened? You're still going to work for that psychopath?" Ariana asked. "Don't call her that, she's still my boss" Sunny said.
"Look I know you're obsessed with her but putting yourself at risk because of it" Ariana said. "I'm not obsessed with her, I can't quit my job because I love to cook" Sunny replied. "I looked up your boss on goggle. Turns out she and family are the most dangerous and feared gangster in all of Mexico" Ariana said.
"What?" Sunny asked. "Yeah, not just that but the people who attacked the restaurant was an enemy" Ariana said. Sunny sighed. "Ariana I'm aware of that. I know of her reputation" Sunny said. "She's a gangster, her brother is a gangster, her mother, her father, her grandmother and grandfather"
"Ariana, I'm well aware of that but it won't change my mind concerning quitting my job" Sunny said. "Why? Why do you want to get killed so badly? Getting stabbed wasn't enough for me? Why won't you be reasonable about this?" Ariana asked.
"Because she's the only one who could protect me from my father. I don't like the idea of working for her but I don't have a fucking choice. She my one way ticket to safety. I don't want to return to my dad. I don't want to be his puppet, I'm not a doll he could just play with anytime he feels like. It's either her or I get caught and sent to china, so yes I hate the thought of returning to that restaurant despite everything that has happened but I don't have a choice" Sunny said.
Ariana calms down. "I'm sorry for being harsh to you" Ariana said as she pulls Sunny for a tight hug. "Too tight" Sunny said finding it difficult to breath. "Sorry" Ariana let's go.
"What room are you at?" Ariana asked. "Um, room 208" Sunny replied. "That's upstairs, wow I heard that the rooms upstairs can only be afforded by billionaires" Ariana said. "My boss brought me here"
"Ugh her again..... Look just be careful, don't fall quick" Ariana said. "I already have" Sunny replied with a defeated tone. Ariana sighs in frustration. "Alright" Was all Ariana said. "Speaking of boss, I need to return to my room so she wouldn't be worried" Sunny said.
"Alright I'll keep you posted on Sofia's condition. Be careful" Ariana said. She kissed Sunny on the head before heading inside to meet Audrey.
Sunny returned to her room, she was met with angry Alejandra's dissatisfied look. "Where have you been?" Alejandra asked. "I went to the restroom" Sunny said. "Look over there, what do you see?" Alejandra pointing to the door beside her asked. "The..... the toilet" Sunny replied. "So where are you coming from?"
{Oh shit what other lies can i come up with? she seems suspicious of me right now} "Actually chef i..... i just went outside for fresh air. The event kept playing in my head, i'm..... scared" Sunny said. Alejandra's demeanor softened. "I'm sorry i raised my voice" Alejandra said. {Her voice seems calmer than before. I must have hit a jackpot}
"It's alright chef, i understand that you are worried but i promise to stay in my room" Sunny said innocently. "Get in bed" Alejandra said. Sunny obediently laid on the bed as Alejandra tuck her in.
