Upon hearing Di Jun's question, Hong Jun gazed into the distance, sighed, and said, "Fate."
"Fate is ever-changing and unpredictable; how can one speak of anything as being predetermined?"
"Yet once destiny is established, the grand trend is inescapable, and the unpredictability of fate is that thread of hope between Heaven and Earth."
Hong Jun's eyes looked far away, as he reflected upon his own situation.
After converging with the Dao, he still maintained that thread of a chance for escape.
"Once destiny is upon you, you become the protagonist of the era. Whether you can exit gracefully from this era depends on your own fortune."
Hearing Hong Jun's words, Di Jun thought of the recently encountered East King, The Queen Mother of the West, and of the tales of Nuwa creating humans, the six Saints, and more from his past life.
Were they also favored by destiny, bearing its great momentum?
In an instant, Di Jun felt a sense of clarity in his mind, as if grasping onto something.
