Shuilian Cave, four elderly monkeys each holding a book and flipping through it.
"Are there any errors?"
Sun Wukong asked.
After finishing the books, the elderly monkeys looked at each other, all with barely concealed shock.
"Great King, with our knowledge, we really can't find any faults in it."
They answered.
Sun Wukong then turned his gaze to another group of elderly turtles who were also reading: "What about you?"
"We can't find any either."
The elderly turtles said respectfully, "Monkey King, with your extensive and thorough questioning, this book is exhaustively detailed in every aspect."
The content written in the book was extensive, but within their areas of expertise, there were no errors.
These elder turtles were great scholars invited by Ao Luan from the Dragon Palace, and since they found no faults, Sun Wukong was reassured.
"Ao Luan."
Sun Wukong said to Ao Luan, "You personally distribute these books."
"Yes."
Ao Luan looked at the books, feeling as if she was looking at a treasure.
She had long known that Sun Wukong, using the Clone Technique, had been mingling among the lesser demons, learning various production techniques from humans.
But Ao Luan never expected that Sun Wukong would utilize two years to compile a book on agriculture, handicrafts, machinery, bricks and tiles, ceramics, sulfur, candles, paper, weapons, gunpowder, textiles, dyeing, salt making, coal mining, and oil extraction techniques.
"Heavenly Craftsmanship," that was the name of the book.
In a town, a Rakshasa and a Fox Demon had a dispute.
Her face turned fierce, ready to revert to her original form and devour the Fox Demon.
"Girl, do not be impulsive."
A recently acquainted elder tapped her head, "It's rare for one to achieve a human form, you should focus on cultivating your nature and eradicating bad habits."
With that tap, the Rakshasa's demonic aura immediately dispersed.
"This Mr. Gu Zhi has such strong Dao Power."
An old Daoist who witnessed this couldn't help but privately praise.
This disciple was a transformed evil spirit; if not strictly disciplined, troubles might arise, yet Mr. Gu Zhi was a temperate and kind demon.
"Also unknown what he transformed from."
The old Daoist glanced at the elder, who introduced himself as Mr. Gu Zhi, but didn't reveal his true form.
"Could it be a celestial crane..."
While the old Daoist guessed, suddenly a commotion broke out on the streets.
"Dragon Girl is distributing books!"
Someone shouted: "That book was written by the Wise Monkey, everyone come take a look!"
"What?"
"The Wise Monkey can write books?"
People and demons in the town rushed to the seaside, all surprised.
"Writing a book?"
Mr. Gu Zhi also showed a delighted expression, eagerly pulling his disciples to hurry to the seaside.
"So, it's a book. Daoist, the Monkey King must want to use it to improve productivity!"
Mr. Gu Zhi joyfully said.
The old Daoist looked puzzled, "What is productivity?"
"I don't understand either."
Mr. Gu Zhi laughed: "No one has heard this term before, but it is rumored that to produce faster and better, and to have a better life, that is productivity."
The three arrived at the seaside, already crowded with people.
Humans and demons mingled together, all waiting to get books from Dragon Girl's hands.
But perhaps tired of distributing, Dragon Girl suddenly chanted a spell, and the copies of "Heavenly Craftsmanship" magically flew up and landed in the hands of everyone on the beach.
Those who got the books couldn't wait to open and start reading.
"This, this is..."
An artisan on the beach exclaimed, "This was written by the Wise Monkey? How did he know the craft of making colored pottery?"
Upon flipping through further, the craftsmen were astounded.
"What ingenious methods these are!"
He discovered techniques he had never mastered.
"Incredible, I have never heard of such cultivation methods!"
Others exclaimed in surprise; the various techniques involved in the "Heavenly Craftsmanship" were beyond their imagination.
Mr. Gu Zhi was also browsing through the "Heavenly Craftsmanship", becoming more and more astonished, his body trembling uncontrollably, almost losing track of himself.
"Unbelievable, truly unbelievable!"
He muttered, completely unaware that his feet were rapidly enlarging and thickening, turning into terrifying tree roots that burrowed into the ground.
The Daoist and the Rakshasa, caught off guard, were thrown into the air by the suddenly emerging tree roots.
These roots, tremendously thick, could lift more than a dozen people each, they ripped through the ground, causing the entire beach to shake.
"Mr. Gu Zhi, Mr. Gu Zhi!"
The Daoist hurriedly shouted.
Originally, Mr. Gu Zhi was a tree demon; it is more difficult for tree demons to cultivate than animals, but once transformed into human form, they appear more intelligent than animals.
Unfortunately, Mr. Gu Zhi, for some reason, had become delirious and could not hear the Daoist's calls.
"What demon is wreaking havoc here!"
The Dragon Girl came charging with her sword, ready to bisect Mr. Gu Zhi.
However, before the blade reached him, a golden rope suddenly descended from the sky, binding Mr. Gu Zhi and lifting him into the heavens.
"Brother."
The Dragon Girl looked up and saw it was indeed Sun Wukong.
Sun Wukong had not made a move for two years, but when he did, it was breathtaking.
Mr. Gu Zhi was finally startled awake; his tree roots reverted to feet, and he bowed to Sun Wukong in the clouds: "Mr. Gu Zhi is discourteous, I hope the Monkey King forgives me."
"Gu Zhi?"
Sun Wukong laughed: "So it's a cypress tree demon."
Mr. Gu Zhi felt delighted; the Monkey King lived up to his name as the Wise Monkey, recognizing his true form just from his name.
"I've come due to the summoning for the wise."
He continued speaking.
Sun Wukong nodded: "Why such a lapse just now?"
"I couldn't help myself."
Mr. Gu Zhi smiled bitterly: "The Monkey King's 'Heavenly Craftsmanship' is filled with abundant and profound techniques, unheard of by me, truly the world's most marvelous book."
Sun Wukong could understand.
"Heavenly Craftsmanship" was his compilation of technical materials, serving as an industrial encyclopedia, its original source was a Heavenly Book called "Heavenly Craftsmanship"—a book from future history.
Using "Heavenly Craftsmanship" as the source, over two years, Sun Wukong listened to humans teaching craftsmanship, contrasted it with the contents of the book, then selected some applicable techniques from other Heavenly Books and integrated them to write this "Heavenly Craftsmanship".
"The content of the book isn't my creation, I merely organized it."
Sun Wukong said: "I want to use it to change Huaguo Mountain."
"That's enough."
Mr. Gu Zhi was sincerely impressed: "Please allow me to serve."
Sun Wukong nodded, he certainly wouldn't refuse.
"Brother."
Ao Luan flew into the sky, saying: "This book is extraordinary, I'm afraid it will spread outside."
"Let it spread then."
Sun Wukong was indifferent, he had never thought about keeping it a secret.
If "Heavenly Craftsmanship" could also have some impact outside, enhancing human production techniques, he would be more than happy.
"No need to hide it deliberately."
Sun Wukong instructed Ao Luan.
"As you command."
Ao Luan nodded.
Her brother was mysteriously unpredictable, she initially came to repay a debt but now was becoming more and more curious, unaware of what her brother would do in the future.
However, this "Heavenly Craftsmanship" was likely to cause a great stir in the outside world.
