This exchange with the Demon Saint Fei Lian made him realize his own shortcomings: while his offensive capabilities were sufficient, he lacked a powerful Protective Spiritual Treasure.
Taiching Laozi laughed, "You rascal, you're not truly concerned about the Demon Clan, you're coveting my treasure tower! However, this treasure tower is a birth-companion to me, containing supreme merit. I cannot give it to you!"
Upon hearing this, Xuanqing felt a bit disheartened. For Saints, Middle Grade or High Grade Spiritual Treasures might be of little concern, but when it comes to Innate Spiritual Treasures of Top Grade or Acquired Treasures, even the Saints take them very seriously.
