NEW PROBLEM
Lily remained silent, stirring her coffee, her gaze fixed straight ahead. She was still lost in the nightmare from last night. It was just a dream, but why did she dream about the accident from years ago involving Helena and Daniel? And why did it feel so real?
She didn't know why she was thinking so much about it—especially since it wasn't real.
Lily blinked and pressed her temples. Every time she tried to recall the accident, her mind felt tormented. The flashes of that moment were clear—someone had hit her and fled. And she also remembered seeing two people before she lost consciousness and her memories vanished.
"Who were they, really?" she murmured softly.
Alger, who had just woken up, furrowed his brows as he looked at Lily sitting at the dining table. Even her coffee had spilled all over the table.
"Does your head hurt?" he asked gently.
Lily nodded but also shook her head.
