Tony stepped through the portal, instantly blinded by a golden glow so intense that he had to close his eyes. It took him a moment to adjust to the brightness.
However, once he finally saw the scene before him, he stood frozen in shock.
Mountains of gold and gemstones towered around him, their dazzling brilliance almost overwhelming his senses.
"Kino, didn't you say you were short on manpower and money? This gold alone could buy the entire world! Who are you trying to fool?" Tony asked, his eyes wide with disbelief.
"I have no idea what's going on either," Kino admitted, looking equally dumbfounded. He had never expected his version of Hell to look like this.
Pamela stared in awe. "This… this is beyond extravagant!"
Pepper covered her mouth, murmuring, "I've never seen so much wealth gathered in one place."
Venom, on the other hand, was thrilled. "Wow! This is a treasure hunter's paradise! I want to explore!"
A voice echoed from afar. "You useless fools, hurry up and move all this into the palace!"
"But, Boss, the palace is almost full," a demon stammered nervously.
"Then build a new one! Do I have to teach you everything?" Xi scolded with her hands on her hips, exuding authority.
"Yes…" came a weak reply.
Kino approached, watching as demons pushed carts back and forth, transporting the treasure in a chaotic but industrious manner.
He began to piece together what had happened.
"Xi," Kino called out.
"Young Master!" Xi jumped at the sudden sound and quickly turned around.
"What is all this?"
Xi explained, and Kino finally understood.
The treasure was taken from Mephisto's vault. Two demons had swallowed it and transported it back, but when one of them tripped, the treasure spilled out all at once.
"Young Master, with this much wealth, your transformation plan is guaranteed to succeed!" Xi's eyes sparkled with excitement, clearly waiting for praise.
"I don't think so," Tony said, his expression serious as he looked at the massive pile of gold and jewels.
"Why not?!" Xi glared at the human, clearly irritated.
"If this much gold floods the human world all at once, it could cause an economic crisis, or worse, a world war," Tony explained grimly.
"Then we definitely can't sell it," Kino agreed after a brief moment of contemplation, realizing the severe consequences.
"That's disappointing…" Xi pouted. "It was such a hassle to gather all this."
The Devouring Demon and the Space Demon exchanged glances, clearly wanting to say something.
"It's not entirely unsellable," Tony added. "As long as we control the supply and sell it little by little, it won't cause a problem. Gold is also an industrial material, so it will always have demand."
"That's a relief," Xi sighed, feeling reassured that their efforts hadn't been in vain.
"Xi, check with the demons who participated in the battle. See if they have any requests. If they don't, convert their share into money. It will come in handy later," Kino instructed.
"Understood, Young Master," Xi responded respectfully.
"And what about you, Xi? Do you want anything?" Kino asked, looking at her.
"I… I don't need anything…" Xi hesitated, sneaking a glance at Kino but ultimately not daring to voice her thoughts.
"I'll handle Xi's reward!" Venom grinned, pulling Xi along towards a secluded corner.
"Venom, Lady—" Xi stammered, but didn't resist, obediently following.
Kino then turned to Pamela. "Pamela, take Pepper and Damian to explore. If you find something you like, feel free to take it."
"Alright, darling," Pamela replied with a smile, leading Pepper and Damian toward the mountains of treasure. She knew Kino wanted to discuss business.
"Kino, take me somewhere high up," Tony requested.
"OK!" Kino grabbed Tony by the collar and flew toward the palace's highest point.
"That was the worst flying experience ever," Tony grumbled as he landed, immediately straightening his clothes.
"You're not a beautiful woman. Did you expect me to carry you like a princess?" Kino teased.
"I'd rather die," Tony shot back, rolling his eyes.
After their brief banter, Tony surveyed Hell's harsh landscape. There was no warm sunlight, no fertile land—only volcanoes and a sky filled with ash.
Turning this into a lush forest… Even with his genius, it would take at least a hundred years to accomplish.
"Is it impossible, Tony?" Kino asked, noticing his silence.
"Impossible? Do you know who I am? I'm Tony Stark. Don't compare me to ordinary scientists," Tony scoffed, regaining his confidence. His mind was already racing with ideas.
"Tell me your original plan first," Tony requested, refocusing on the task at hand.
"My plan was simple—have the demons absorb the energy from the volcanoes to neutralize them. Then, fill the craters to create dormant volcanoes. After that, we would bring in soil from the outside world and let Pamela cultivate plants to restore nature."
Hearing this so-called plan, Tony couldn't help but facepalm. "This isn't a plan. This is just blind trial and error."
"Heh, well, I originally planned to have Dr. Banner help, but he's busy with company matters and pharmaceuticals. So, I figured I'd try it myself first. And now, I've got the greatest genius of the century—Tony Stark—to assist me!" Kino grinned, scratching his head.
"Ahem. Fine. Since we're friends, I'll help." Tony smirked before shifting to a serious tone. "Now, listen to my plan."
He explained each step, from utilizing magma energy for power generation to installing massive air purification towers. Every aspect of the plan was laid out in precise detail.
"That's the basic framework. I'll send you the blueprints and production lines in a few days. Just follow them, and everything will work smoothly," Tony concluded.
After talking for so long, he felt his throat dry up. Taking the cup of water Kino handed him, he downed it in one gulp.
