Chapter 35 - Trade

It was a mid-grade sword technique useful for golden core cultivators. She reasoned that she could trade it without too much risk of arousing Duanmu Lin's greed. Techniques like this even if not common should not be too rare.

meanwhile, Duanmu li was intrigued; he extended his spirit sense and probed the technique inside the jade slip. A myriad of expressions passed through his face, intrigue, wonder, astonishment and a then a burning need. Lin Qing thought she saw a flash of murderous intent appear on his face before he swiftly erased it.

He put on a serious expression as he asked Lin Qing, "What do you want for it?" immediately Lin Qing heard this she figured that perhaps it was more important to Duanmu Lin than she had thought. She smiled cunningly, ready to open her lion mouth and slaughter him.

Duanmu Lin's mouth twitched as he listened to Lin Qing's list of items she wanted, they were not necessarily as expensive as they were rare. Thankfully she hadn't massacred him too harshly and he would be able to afford it if he tightened his belt a bit.

Duanmu Lin stood up and bid Lin Qing and Wu Zemin farewell. He wanted to rush towards his sect and get the items Lin Qing desired. He really wanted that that sword, he valued the laws and concepts in it. He had a feeling that perhaps it was more valuable than any sword art in their sect so it was totally crucial to them. It also reinforced his thoughts that perhaps Lin Qing and her family had a mysterious background.

After he left, Wu Zemin heaved a sigh of relief and came to his wife, "Are you all right?" Lin Qing nodded and hugged him tightly. It was to reassure him as much as to reassure herself.

She was glad Duanmu Lin hadn't attacked, though if he did- a cold glint appeared in her eyes as she raised her hand, a blue light flickered in her hand. This was nascent soul essence, during her coma her withered nascent soul had healed a little, allowing her to use a little bit of her nascent soul essence. Had Duanmu Lin attacked

Time flowed like water and two years passed by, in a specific courtyard a couple of children were sparing. Looking closely it could be seen that it was Wu Tian's adopted siblings exchanging moves. Lier and Xiao Hua were standing in a formation, fiercely trading moves.

It could be seen that Er Gu had the upper hand, he waved and incanted, producing fiery flames that leaped towards Xiao Hua. Xiao Hua wasn't intimidated, she waved and vines rose from the ground, trying to smother the flames and snuff them out.

However fire possessed somewhat of an advantage against wood, the fire whips burned through the vines, scorching and approaching Xiao Hua who kept regenerating the vines. It turned into a competition of spirit qi capacity and battle awareness.

Er Gu was aware that he had the advantage and a smug look couldn't help but appear on his face as he taunted Xiao Hua, "sixth sister, you can't beat me this time. I won't fall for your tricks."

However, Xiao Hua didn't seem disheartened, she had a calm smile as she waved and regenerated her vines. Er Gu cautiously looked around, last time Xiao Hua had slipped past a vine and slapped him unconscious, for the next week everyone especially Jian Li had not been able to look at him without bursting into laughter.

This time he definitely wouldn't be defeated so easily. He stretched out a hand and mobilized the spiritual qi in his body, he condensed it into a sword and went to lob it at her.

suddenly, a vine shot up from the ground beneath his feet, before he could react it could around Er Gu's feet and lifted him up, dangling in the air. His sword fizzled out as he hung there, stunned, "uh, that's not fair." Behind him the formation blocked a sharpened vine that had almost pierced him as he hung in the air.

Everyone couldn't help laughing at him as Xiao Hua waved her hand and the vine disappeared, dropping Er Gu on the ground. Xiao Hua gracefully made her way out of the formation, and Er Gu got up and followed behind her, grumbling.

Wu Tian couldn't help but smile as he watched this; everyone had made great progress during this year. The three oldest had achieved the eighth realm of the qi gathering realm while the others had all achieved at least the sixth stage of the qi gathering realm. Wu Tian himself had completed his body refining. With a simple stretch he could feel great strength emanate from his body, his skin was like iron, his muscles were like steel and his blood was like mercury.

Wu Tian had been pondering what path to take next as he sensed there were different paths after this. In his deduction, after the body was completely refined one could break into the true qi realm and take multiple paths. Wu Tian theorized that once a person broke into the True qi realm they would be able to feel spiritual qi no matter how low their talent was.

They could then chose to take the cultivation path and be a cultivator, however this was the poorest path since Wu Tian theorized that a person at the true qi realm wouldn't lose out to a cultivator at the foundation establishment realm, starting cultivation again at the qi gathering realm really didn't make much sense unless they had a good reason.

The second path involved cultivating true qi and widening the qi sea, one could absorb spiritual qi and convert it to true qi. The path was a bit similar to cultivation where one cultivated qi but the difference was that true qi nourished the body and strengthened the body

The third path involved opening up the meridians and acupoints in the body, there were quite a lot of acupoints in the meridians in the body and one could open them up and store qi in them, getting stronger and stronger in the process.

These were just some of the paths as the body was simply full of treasures to unlock, he theorized that martial arts was as broad as cultivation with many paths such as refining chakras, refining the five organs. He wondered if there was a place out there with a completely developed martial arts system, he would have loved to see it and compare notes.
