When her eyes snapped open, her irises burned dark purple with specks of gold, white, and green. Her hand, gripping the staff, unwrapped around it, but the staff didn't fall. Rather, it spun aggressively before shooting up into the sky.
Ellie stared at the incoming spike. With a wave of her hand, a barrier formed around her. She moved, walking towards the hanging spike. Every step she took left a sparkling purple flower blooming in her path.
"Scram!" she commanded with a powerful voice. Then she elevated up into the middle of the sky, her staff spinning around her. Her hand formed a circle in the middle of her stomach, a purple orb forming between her hands.
The fog moved again, forming millions of sharp spikes oozing with chills. They began to attack the barrier nonstop.
