As soon as Asher's skill activated, the system scanned the curse before it purged it completely. The black bangle on Liloth's wrist glowed briefly before disintegrating into fine ash, crumbling away like it had never existed.
Liloth stared at her hand, blinking in disbelief. Her eyes slowly rose to meet Asher's, wide and stunned, no longer crying.
"H-How did you do it? You broke the curse?" she asked, her voice laced with confusion and reluctant awe.
He gave a lazy shrug. "Yeah. Breaking curses is child's play. I could do it in my sleep. Which, honestly, would've made this more fun."
She scowled, quickly snapping back to her fiery self. "Tch. Whatever. Untie me—I've got a Duke to deal with."
He raised an eyebrow, folding his arms.
"Untie you?" He echoed, then let out a short, mocking laugh. "Hold on, Liloth. You think I broke your curse out of the goodness of my heart?"
He stepped closer, voice dropping with wicked amusement. "What, do I look like a charity worker to you?"
