"What was the name of your "ex" fiance? Christopher?" Idan suddenly asked Arabel.
Arabel noticed that as soon as Idan said Christopher's name, his voice became firmer and sharper.
At first, she didn't understand why this happened, but then, remembering her ascension trial, she realized why his mood had suddenly changed.
She didn't know what exactly had happened to him during the trial, but she could guess.
"Yes, he was chosen by the elders to be my fiance in order to strengthen the bond between our Morgan family and the Hugh family," Arabel confessed, seeing no reason to hide this from Idan.
