Chapter 70 - CHAPTER 70

Latest Intelligence on the Remnants of the Rocks Pirates

The document contains the most recent intelligence regarding the surviving members of the notorious Rocks Pirates from some time ago.

Following the incident at God Valley, while key figures from the Roger Pirates and senior officers of the Rocks Pirates managed to escape, three other notable individuals also successfully evaded capture.

These three were Wang Zhi, Silver Axe, and Captain John.

For years, the Navy has been tracking their movements, piecing together clues, and attempting to hunt them down.

However, their whereabouts have remained elusive—until now.

Recent intelligence reports confirm that Wang Zhi and Silver Axe have each formed their own pirate crews and are actively recruiting members across the seas.

These men were once pillars of the Rocks Pirates, each possessing formidable strength. While they may not reach the levels of power seen in Edward Newgate (Whitebeard), Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom), Shiki (Golden Lion), Kaido, or even the enigmatic Caesar, their threat level remains significant.

Fleet Admiral Kong furrowed his brow in thought.

A knock at the door broke the silence.

"Mr. Marshal, you called for us?"

Sengoku entered the room, followed closely by Garp and Tsuru.

"The intelligence division has located Wang Zhi, Silver Axe, and Captain John!"

"They've recently established their own pirate crews and are recruiting en masse. It seems they're preparing for a major operation."

Steel Bone Kong wasted no time and handed the classified reports to the trio.

"Just these three?" Sengoku asked with a hint of doubt.

"As for Edward Newgate, Charlotte Linlin, Golden Lion, Kaido, and that kid Caesar—there's still no trace of them."

"But mark my words, they won't remain in hiding forever. Sooner or later, they'll surface and carve out their own territories. When that time comes, we'll wipe them out completely!"

"For now, your priority is to eliminate Wang Zhi, Silver Axe, and Captain John—along with their newly formed crews!"

"The Rocks era is over. We cannot allow these remnants to disrupt the world's order!"

Steel Bone Kong's voice carried the weight of his resolve.

"I'll take care of Wang Zhi myself," Garp stated, glancing at the intelligence report in Sengoku's hands.

"Fine." Kong nodded. "The remaining two—decide amongst yourselves."

"One more thing." Kong pulled out another classified document. "This concerns the latest movements of the Roger Pirates. Read it carefully."

"After we've handled Wang Zhi, Silver Axe, and Captain John, we'll turn our full attention to Roger."

"That's what Mary Geoise has ordered as well."

[83] Strength Grown Through Training—Ready to Set Sail Once More

Calm Belt – The Island Where Rocks Buried His Treasure

A fierce battle raged across the desolate island.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Blade-shaped shockwaves sliced through the air, felling massive trees as tremors rocked the ground.

"Your strength has improved—not bad! Keep going!"

"Brad, you hesitate too much at critical moments! You need to fix that—an enemy won't show mercy in battle!"

"Gliner, good! Keep up the pace! Your punches can still be sharper and stronger!"

Caesar, standing alone against two formidable opponents, assessed their progress while evading their relentless attacks.

Over the past month, his wounds had completely healed.

The God Valley Incident had been a turning point—Caesar had gained invaluable experience from that battle.

Now, he had the confidence to say he could face Whitebeard in a one-on-one fight without being overwhelmed.

He wasn't the only one who had grown stronger. His two companions, Gliner and Brad, had also made tremendous progress.

Witnessing firsthand the clash of legends at God Valley, they had absorbed new battle techniques, refining their combat styles with each passing day.

Especially Gliner.

Possessing exceptional talent, he had trained relentlessly under Caesar's guidance for over a month.

Now, his strength had reached the level of an average Vice Admiral—and he was steadily progressing toward elite Vice Admiral status.

Brad, while slightly less gifted, compensated with sheer determination. He absorbed everything Caesar taught, pushing himself to master it.

Although he hadn't reached Vice Admiral strength yet, he was already on par with the Navy's elite Rear Admirals.

"Brad, you made the same mistake again! I told you—no hesitation!"

"If you hesitate, you die!"

"Are you worried about hurting me? Your attacks must be fast, precise, and ruthless! Use the most efficient method to take down your opponent!"

"Y-Yes, Boss, I—"

"Boom!"

Brad, distracted by Caesar's reprimand, failed to react in time.

A powerful kick struck his jaw, sending his massive saber-toothed tiger form hurtling backward.

He crashed into a tree, returning to his human form with a groan.

"Cough..."

"Boss… you're on a completely different level…"

"You okay, Brad?" Gliner asked, helping him up.

"Yeah… let's go again!"

Taking a deep breath, Brad steeled his resolve, his fighting spirit burning anew.

"Come on! I know it won't be long before you catch up to me."

Gliner patted his shoulder in encouragement.

Brad shifted back into his Zoan form, and the two launched another round of attacks on Caesar.

"Where's your sword, Gliner?"

"Don't just rely on your fists—train your swordsmanship too. It's just as important!"

Gliner had a natural gift for swordplay, and refining it would make him even more dangerous.

It would also benefit Caesar—facing stronger opponents would only sharpen his own skills further.

"Hmph!"

"If I use my sword, I might actually hurt you, Caesar!" Gliner teased with a smirk.

"Oh?"

"Then try and land a hit on me!"

With a sharp clang, Caesar drew Wado Ichimonji and sent a flying slash toward Gliner.

Clang!

Sparks erupted as Gliner drew his rapier, intercepting the attack.

Their Conqueror's Haki clashed in midair, creating an intense pressure.

At that moment, a massive shadow loomed behind Gliner.

Brad, still in his saber-toothed tiger form, lunged with razor-sharp claws aimed at Caesar's head.

"Nice teamwork!"

Caesar praised their strategy, then pivoted mid-air to dodge Brad's strike.

Gliner seized the opening, unleashing a powerful slash from the side.

"Chop!"

One of the sword techniques he had learned from Caesar.

Their speed increased, their movements blurred.

Soon, only the sound of clashing blades and shockwaves filled the air.

Caesar observed Gliner's rapid improvement and felt genuine pride.

At this rate, Gliner would soon be his right-hand man.

"This is getting fun—come at me again!"

---

Four Months Later – Departure Approaches

After months of relentless training, their combat abilities had skyrocketed.

Now, Gliner had reached the level of an elite Vice Admiral, while Brad had advanced to a standard Vice Admiral's strength.

Yet, this morning, Caesar did not summon them for training.

Instead, he stood on the ruined shore, gazing at the horizon.

Sensing an opening, Brad attempted a sneak attack—only to be effortlessly blocked.

"Boss, something on your mind?"

Gliner stepped forward.

"You're planning to leave, aren't you?"

Caesar finally turned, a grin forming.

"You're right, Gliner."
