Arius wakes up, he glances at Aegara's side of the bed but she wasn't there. Arius thinks to himself:
Hmmmmm, she woke up earlier than me?
Well I guess time to investigate this weird place.
Arius gets out of the bed and heads out of the room, just as he is about to go down the stairs a dust person greets him:
"Good morning young man!"
Arius is stunned a little, he thought they couldn't speak and were just living workers, he quickly responds as to not be rude:
"G-Good morning!"
The dust person passes him all happy but Arius notices something strange:
He has no shadow?! According to the legends one who has no shadow is neither dead nor alive, but Krona said she saved them? Was she lying? Could the others be shadowless too?
Arius rushes down to the first floor, he starts frantically looking around but to his surprise the other dust people have shadows and are behaving normally. He quickly deduces:
Since they have shadows Krona did nothing to them, then just as I suspected it must be Lenora that MOTH must have done something, Aegara is probably keeping them busy so I might as well start the investigation.
Arius makes his way towards a dust person and asks him:
"Hello there, sorry to bother you but can you please help me find Lenora's laboratory?
Krona told me to go fetch a book there."
The dust person points up:
"Well you can go to the third floor and walk towards-"
Arius interrupts:
"Ah no not that one I was talking about the other one, since I don't know where the second laboratory is I thought you might help me."
The dust person looks at him suspiciously and asks:
"Didn't lady Krona tell you where it is?"
Arius thinks:
Got you, so there is a secondary laboratory she is using, now time to call it wraps.
Arius confidently laughes:
"Well hehehe I kinda suffer from short term memory loss, at the end of the day I am just a soldier. I am known for my brawns not my brain hehehe."
The dust person cynically stares at Arius but he doesn't waver and simply just stares back at him. The silence finally gets broken and the dust person gives up telling Arius about the second laboratory:
"Ahhhh you soldiers…..go to a balcony, any balcony it doesn't matter which, then whisper "Nectar" and you will be teleported there. When you want to get out whisper the same word. Now go I have work to do, good day to you!"
Arius nods and heads to the nearest balcony
* While Arius is trying to find the nearest balcony we quickly switch to Aegara who isn't doing exactly what Arius thought she was
*wooshhhh*
*click*
*door opens*
"Arius sorry for occupying the bathroom for so long I was doing my morning skin care routine…..Arius? Huh he is not here?Hmmmm...hmmmmmm? HMMMMMM?!
NO WAYYYYYYYYY"
THAT IDIOT,DON'T TELL ME HE WENT OUT INVESTIGATING THINKING I WAS KEEPING EVERYONE COMPANY!!!!!
* that's exactly what Arius thought
Arius arrives at the balcony and whispers:
"Nectar"
*voosh*
"Huh so it did work, that dust guy wasn't lying, also who the hell uses "Nectar" as their entrance code. What world are we living in?! *sigh* So now if I were a super villain where would I hide my evil stuff?
Hm hm think think think."
Arius turns left
"WOW she REALLY didn't try to hide THIS one did she?"
Arius walks towards the big machine Lenora has built, it was about 7 meters tall and 2 meters wide, the machine wasn't working it was missing an important part wich even a blind person could see:
"A stone, it's missing a stone what type of stone-"
*step*
"It's missing a dust stone Arius"
WHAT THE?!
*HIT*
*POW*
"Hah Crowell…..wow….quicker than I thought!"
Crowell goes into the shadows:
"You shouldn't have come here Arius, it wasn't meant to be discovered by you or Aegara."
Arius replies:
"Discover what? I just stumbled upon this, so if you would just let me go I woul-"
Crowell interrupts:
"You know it better than me brother that letting you go is not an option, and you know that killing me is the right thing to do to proceed with your mission, even after the war we are still pawns but this time to our own duties."
Arius asks seriously:
"Even if it means that your friend is about to do something she will regret forever?"
Crowell with a shaken voice replies:
"....when I had nowhere to go she gave me a home…..a family and hope….nobody else did that...."
Arius actives his ORIGIN, although he hides it. He is feeling regretfull for investigating, feeling angry at himself because it was his fault that the fight was about to happen.
"Crowell I Arius praise you with the ways of the North. If you are to die by my hand I hope we encounter one another in the afterlife that'll be granted to us."
Crowell comes out the shadow, activating his ORIGIN.
"Arius I Crowell praise you with the ways of the North, If you are to die by my hand I hope we encounter one another in the afterlife that'll be granted to us"
Arius and Crowell are both ready to attack one another
Arius clenches his fists.
"We shall meet again brother."
Crowell clenches his fists too.
"Yes brother, may Heaven allow us to enter and if not, then hell shall punish us for our foolishness."
Arius stares directly into Crowell's eyes and says:
"Agreed Brother."
*foosh*
*Hit*
*KABOOM*
Arius and Crowell's fists clash, despite leaving the war behind new wars emerge and as soldiers they must fight, for this is their way of life, it's like a bird trying to walk. A bird can walk but it's made to fly this is their nature, their fate, the fate of natures soldier and this is what pushes them. Arius and Crowell are aware of the cruel fate that awaits them, but the difference is that Arius is trying to break it while Crowell has accepted it. Who will emerge victorious in this battle of wits between iron stricken war veterans? The Rebel or The Slave?
