"I just want to move outside Haven, since the first didn't work." Selene said.
"Okay, we will..." Vardy finally said.
He kept his gaze locked on Selene, who leaned casually against the table, her smirk deepening as if she'd just won a game no one else realized they were playing.
"You won't regret this," Selene said, her tone smooth, almost teasing.
"I already do," Vardy muttered under his breath, but loud enough for her to hear.
Selene chuckled softly, pushing off the table and glancing around at the rest of the group.
Ferah, who had been pacing like a restless predator, froze mid-step and glared at her.
"Are we really doing this?" Ferah asked, her voice sharp.
"Doing isn't the word I'd use," Tracy chimed in, tightening her grip on her spear. "But if she knows where to start, we don't have much of a choice."
"I can feel the love in the room," Selene quipped, "But don't worry, I'm used to it."
