Selene stepped closer, her expression unreadable. "You're not the only one who feels it," she said, her voice barely audible.
"I've heard stories of the island being alive in its own way,of the very land sensing when someone approaches, when someone seeks to disturb its cursed peace. We need to be ready for anything." Selene said further, her hands folded.
Vardy kept his eyes fixed ahead. The island was more than just a place, it was a living, breathing entity, and whatever power it held, it wasn't going to give it up easily.
The ship started experiencing turbulence, they kept swaying back and forth, all trying to keep the balance of the ship.
Suddenly, the whispers returned faintly. The words were unintelligible, yet the sound itself seemed to vibrate through Vardy's bones, unsettling him in a way he couldn't explain.
