"I have to," Vardy said quietly. "I don't have a choice."
With that, he turned, already moving toward the edge of the ship. The distant lights of Haven City beckoned to him, and he knew, deep down, that there was no other path for him.
Dean had started something, and if Vardy didn't stop him now, there would be no stopping.
"We're all going with you, Vardy." Selene voiced out all of a sudden.
Vardy turned, his gaze fixed on them all, "no… no. I need you to take Ferah to safety."
"Who said I wasn't going too?" Ferah said, though in a low tone but, shocking Vardy.
"No way! Ferah please.." Vardy objected, but it seemed like they all planned it and they weren't ready to yield.
Vardy heaved darting round, not knowing what to say again.
Meanwhile, in Haven City, the destruction continued.
The city had descended into chaos. People were trapped in their homes, unable to escape the nightmare that Dean had brought.
