Chapter 90: The Journey to the War Zone
The Shadow Fang cut through the void at high speed, streaking toward the war-torn sector where the rumored abandoned shipyard was located. Space was vast, but Raizen could already feel the pull of something greater. If the shipyard held even a handful of operational vessels, it could tip the scales in his favor.
Liana monitored the long-range sensors, eyes sharp as she scanned for threats. "No signs of organized fleets yet, but this area is contested. We'll need to move carefully."
Kain crossed his arms. "Meaning someone else might have the same idea."
Raizen leaned forward. "Then we get there first."
Approaching the Shipyard
After hours of travel, they arrived at the coordinates Sera provided. What they found was more than just a simple salvage site—an entire orbital facility, massive in scale, drifting in a field of wreckage.
"Damn," Joran muttered. "That's no abandoned station. That's a graveyard."
The shipyard had once been a major facility, but now its metallic skeleton floated eerily in the darkness, its defenses cold and unpowered. Dozens of ruined ships hung in the debris field—some shattered beyond recognition, others barely holding together.
Raizen's golden eyes scanned the station. "Liana, run a structural analysis. Find out what's still intact."
A few moments later, her terminal flickered with data. "Multiple dry docks still have ships inside. Some of them are untouched, but we'll have to breach the shipyard's main hub to access control systems."
Raizen smirked. "Then let's board."
The First Encounter
The docking process was slow, as the Shadow Fang carefully maneuvered into position. Once secured, Raizen led his team inside, stepping into a long-abandoned corridor filled with flickering lights and the distant hum of old machinery
