The pattering sounds of rain drops was sudden and unexpected. Glancing up, the once blue clear sky was no more. Instead it was dark gray, thick with ominous foreboding. Sharp lightning arcs raced within it.
Boom! Lightning crackled.
Talia who stood beside him visibly trembled and almost leaped from fear. Whilst he instantly closed the bonnet.
"Get in." He didn't know when he shouted these words, but Talia did pay heed anyway.
As the heavy droplets began falling without any warning, they both got inside the car.
Thud
Thud
Both doors closed shut with a muffled thud.
But before that, they had already been hit by the sudden droplets.
The side windows were all opened, so they had to let it close first. And when it did, the sound of heavy droplets pattering against the exterior of the SUV and the booming lightning in the sky were instantly annihilated. Drowning the interior of the SUV in still silence as if they had been disconnected from the world.
