"Oh, Evelyn, you're here?"
Noticing his sister's suspecting figure, Max realized she had probably heard most of his lies.
"Nice, we'll be having dinner together, make sure to make time and join." With that, Aunt Sarah and his cousin, Ivy departed. Leaving him and sister to stare at each other.
She was wearing a little black dress,knee length, modest neckline with delicate cap sleeves.
Staring at him coldly- when the two departing steps could no longer be heard…
"I'm sorry… for the lies." Max added, appearing quite awkward with no trace of his composure.
"Hmmm." Humming in response, Evelyn passed by him, walking towards the door without throwing him a glance.
Seeing this, Max reluctantly followed behind, pushing past the door as he closed the door behind him.
"Are we good?"
Causing Evelyn to stop, he stared attentively at her back, waiting for a response.
