In front of me, floating above the surface of the lake and stretching up to the moon, lay the massive figure of the hero, outlined in a divine blue color.
The figure's facial features and hair shape were identical to those of the hero I had fought and killed in the now-abandoned cathedral.
That could only mean one thing.
For them to have the previous hero's exact characteristics when I fought him, they must have discovered his body.
The cathedral had most likely been sealed off at this point then as well.

At that moment, as a round of applause echoed from the garden below, I let out a deep sigh and looked downward.
The public still didn't know about the previous hero's death and most likely believed he was still on his journey to defeat the demon king.
However, it was only a matter of time before they found out now that the government had discovered the previous hero's dead body in my cathedral.
