Hours had passed since Nero and Rowena's discussion, yet the weight of revelation lingered like an unshakable fog.
The chamber remained silent except for the rhythmic breathing of Ember, Lilith, and Alaric, who lay motionless, caught in the aftershocks of their awakening.
Nero sat nearby, watching them with quiet patience. It was not merely exhaustion that gripped them, it was something deeper, something that reshaped them from within.
He knew that when they awoke, they would not be the exact same people they had been before.
The first to stir was Ember. Her fingers twitched against the cold stone floor, as if grasping at something unseen. A soft groan escaped her lips as her eyes flickered open, dazed but aware.
Lilith followed soon after, rubbing her temples, her sharp grey eyes unfocused, weighed down by something intangible.
Alaric shifted last, stretching his limbs before heaving a slow breath, as though grounding himself in the present.
"Damn," Alaric muttered, voice hoarse. "That was… intense."
Ember let out a dry chuckle. "Understatement of the century."
Lilith didn't speak right away. She clenched her fists, the flicker of something unreadable crossing her expression before she finally turned to Nero. Her voice was softer than usual, almost hesitant. "It's real, isn't it?"
Nero nodded solemnly. "Yes. You remember now."
A long silence stretched between them before Ember finally broke it. "I feel like my body ran a marathon while my mind wrestled a chimera. I think we need to rest before we collapse."
"Agreed," Alaric added. "Let's return to Ravenclaw Manor for the night."
Rowena, who had remained silent, gestured toward the Portkey.
Without another word, the four of them grasped it, and with a lurching pull, they vanished from the vault, their journey taking them back to Ravenclaw Manor.

The manor stood bathed in moonlight, its high windows casting long shadows across the grand halls. The moment they arrived, exhaustion overtook them.
The adrenaline that had kept them standing finally gave way, and without much conversation, they each retreated to their chambers.
Sleep claimed them swiftly.
Morning came gently, golden hues spilling through the windows, casting warmth over the quiet halls of Ravenclaw Manor. The air was thick with unspoken thoughts as the four of them gathered in the grand hall.
No one spoke immediately, but the silence was not uneasy, it was one of understanding, of shared experience.
Lilith was the first to break the quiet. "Nero," she said, her voice steady but filled with weight, "thank you. If not for you, we'd still be wandering blind, unaware of what we had lost."
Alaric inclined his head. "I owe you one. This changes everything."
Ember, who had been staring into her cup of tea, sighed. "I should be furious with you for meddling with my head… but I'm not. I needed this. We all did."
Nero gave a faint smile. "It was never my intention to force this upon you, but I'm glad you see the value in knowing who you truly are."
A moment of quiet agreement passed before Ember's gaze hardened. "We need to get stronger."
Lilith nodded. "We've regained memories, but that doesn't mean we're ready for what's coming."
Alaric leaned back, thoughtful. "Knowledge is power, but it's useless if we don't act on it."
Nero exhaled, his gaze steady. "I think we should begin by comparing our knowledge of the magical world from our past lives. We need to verify if we all have the same recollections of this world."
Lilith nodded, her eyes sharp. "Makes sense. The Harry Potter world…If we're going to navigate this world, we need to know exactly what we're dealing with."
Alaric leaned back, crossing his arms. "And we can't rely on memory alone. If we don't line up on the details, it could get messy fast."
Nero's expression remained serious. "We're dealing with events and people who have the power to change everything. We need to identify any gap."
Lilith's eyes narrowed. "You mean... we need to verify the timeline. Make sure what we remember matches what's actually happening here."
Nero nodded. "Right. If there are differences, we need to identify them... and figure out why."
Ember's grin faded, her tone turning serious. "And if things aren't the same... we'll need a plan to handle it."
Alaric's gaze was cold, calculating. "We're walking a fine line. Knowing the future is dangerous... but knowing a wrong future is even worse."
Nero's eyes hardened. "Which is why we start with the facts. We go through everything we remember about this world. The history, the events, the people... all of it."
Ember's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Sounds like fun. I'll go first." She leaned forward, her voice quick and animated. "I remember everything... from the Philosopher's Stone to the Deathly Hallows. Harry's journey, his friends, the battles, the losses... all of it."
Alaric crossed his arms, his expression thoughtful. "The prophecy. The Boy Who Lived... destined to face the Dark Lord. I remember that too."
Lilith's voice was cool and calculating. "And the Horcruxes. The pieces of Voldemort's soul hidden to make him immortal. They were the key to his defeat."
Ember nodded eagerly. "Seven, right? Diary, ring, locket, cup, diadem, Nagini... and Harry himself."
Alaric's eyes were sharp. "And Dumbledore... guiding Harry, if we can call it like that. Knowing more than he let on. Always a step ahead. For the greater good."
Lilith's gaze narrowed. "He orchestrated the entire plan... right down to his own death."
Ember's lips curled into a grin. "And Snape... playing double agent."
Nero watched them in silence, letting them speak, letting them remember. He could see the memories flashing behind their eyes, the emotions tied to a story they had once thought was fiction.
Ember continued, her voice softer now. "And the Battle of Hogwarts... so many died. Fred... Remus... Tonks..."
Lilith's expression was grim. "A war that ended with Voldemort's defeat... and peace for the Wizarding World."
Alaric leaned back, his voice low. "And nineteen years later... we see them on Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. The next generation... the end of the story."
Long hours passed as they compared their memories, down to the smallest detail.
Silence followed, heavy with the weight of shared memory.
Ember looked at the others, her eyes wide. "We all... remember the same things. Every detail... every moment."
Lilith's gaze was calculating. "Which means our knowledge is the same... down to the last Horcrux."
Nero finally spoke, his voice steady, his expression was grim. "We remember the same series... but this world isn't the same. There are differences... You should have noticed. And those differences change everything."
They turned to him, their faces thoughtful, already processing the implications.
Alaric's eyes darkened. "Yeah... I've noticed. The magic here... it's stronger. Wilder. And people... there are more of them. Way more."
Lilith's voice was low, calculating. "Wizards and muggles alike. The population is bigger... and the power dynamics are different. Even the magical creatures... they're more... vivid. More dangerous."
Ember's eyes narrowed. "And Dumbledore... he's not the frail old man we remember from the books. He's in his prime... and feels powerful as hell."
Nero nodded, his expression serious. "Yes. Dumbledore is in his prime... and he's not the only one. There are at least eight others rumored to be as strong as him...Plus Voldemort hiding somewhere."
Lilith's eyes widened. "The Legend ranked wizards."
Nero's voice was calm. "Yes. And they're not bound by the story we know. Their motives... their goals... they're unknown."
Lilith's jaw tightened. "Which means we can't predict them... or control them."
Nero's gaze was sharp. "Exactly. This isn't just about knowing the story. It's about surviving in a world where the rules are different... and the players are stronger."
Ember's voice was steady. "Then we can't rely only on what we remember. We need to adapt... and prepare for the unknown."
Nero's expression darkened. Sighing he said. "That's not all. There's something else... something darker."
Lilith's eyes narrowed. "What is it?"
Nero's voice was low, cold. "Voldemort's Horcruxes... they're not the same as in the series. They're... worse. Far worse."
A chill settled over the room.
Alaric's face grew grim. "What do you mean?"
Nero's gaze was piercing. "The Horcruxes here... I've already been in contact with 2 of them. Like in the original, they feed on despair... on fear... they try to corrupt everything they touch..."
"But there is much worse…the Diadem... it doesn't just contain a fragment of Voldemort's soul. It has... more than one hundred souls trapped inside it."
Silence fell, heavy and suffocating.
Ember's breath hitched, her eyes wide with horror. "One... one hundred?"
Nero's face was grim. "Yes. They're trapped... tortured... twisted into shadows of what they once were. It's not just a Horcrux... it's a mass grave."
Alaric's fists clenched, his jaw tight. "He... he killed that many people... just to create one Horcrux?"
Lilith's gaze was calculating, her voice low. "If the Diadem has more than one hundred souls... then what about the others?"
Nero's face was grim. "We don't know... yet. I could only confirm that the diary has one soul trapped inside it. But if the Diadem is any indication... the other Horcruxes could be even worse."
They all fell silent, the weight of Nero's revelation pressing down on them like a cold shadow. The room felt colder, the air heavy with unspoken fears.
Each of them was lost in thought, the implications swirling in their minds like a storm they couldn't escape.
Alaric was the first to speak, his eyes hard, his voice steady. "We need to learn everything we can. About the Horcruxes... and about the magic Voldemort used to create them." His fists clenched at his sides, his jaw tightening. "Whatever this is... it's beyond anything we know. We can't afford to be ignorant."
Lilith's gaze was sharp, her voice calm but firm. "And not just that. Magic in general. This world is different... more powerful... more dangerous. We need to understand it all. To prepare for future threats. Expected or unexpected." Her eyes gleamed with determination. "Knowledge is our best weapon... and our best defense."
Ember's shoulders were tense, her fingers curling into fists. She looked at each of them, her voice low but fierce. "Then we need to trust each other... completely. If we're going to face this... if we're going to survive... we have to work together."
Her eyes burned with resolve. "We will work together to become the strongest version of ourselves. We'll protect each other... and our knowledge. No matter what."
Nero's face was resolute, his eyes cold and calculating. "Exactly. But if we're going to do this... we need to make sure no one can break our bond. No one can divide us... or turn us against each other."
His voice softened, a shadow of nostalgia flickering in his gaze. "We need more than just a promise... more than just words. We need to cement our determination, and maximize our chances of success. To reach the apex of magic."
He paused, his eyes distant as a memory surfaced. "Do you remember the first time we met... on the Hogwarts Express?"
His voice grew stronger, more resolute. "We made a promise that day... to face this world together. But now... we need more than a promise."
Alaric's eyes sharpened. "You mean... a pact?"
Nero nodded, his voice firm. "A pact. This time, a true, unbreakable bond. Not just words... but magic. A vow that no one can break..."
Lilith's eyes narrowed, her lips curling into a fierce smile. "A magical contract... bound to our souls. No lies... no betrayals."
Ember's eyes burned with determination. "We'll protect each other... no matter what. And if anyone tries to come between us..." Her voice hardened. "We'll crush them."
Alaric's jaw tightened, his fists clenching. "Together. All four of us."
