The flames grew fiercer, but Kathy shifted her image. Her clothes melded into her skin, and her totality turned into holographic white and yellow. Her hair solidified into strange thick lines, which resembled spider legs.
"Subdue!" Kathy, in her ethereal-sounding voice, recited a short chant. Her hands swiped to the side as if pulling ropes. A translucent silk made of white light wrapped around the demon's body. With Kathy's chant, it tightened its hold and held the demon in place.
