Chapter 76 - Chapter 75

{A/N: I made a mistake, I didn't expect to get 100 powerstones so quickly. Honestly, I'm not even upset about that, I mean I'm HIm. But I have other novels which had also got the 100 powerstones, and one is nearly 150 powerstones. So, 100 power stones per chapter. But I will be giving you guys the 2 bonus chapters today.}

"You want to come with me? I know you want to break free from your father's grand plan… but even then, your father is basically the same being who created the omniverse I come from," Ashborn said, his gaze steady. Lucifer shook his head.

"Do you know what the Great Darkness truly is?" he asked, turning his eyes toward the sealed void in the distance.

"It's… the darkness. The nothingness that existed before creation," Ashborn replied, frowning slightly as he too looked at the sealed Darkness, confused by the question.

"The darkness is just his unconscious. The whole battle between the light and darkness it's all part of his grand plan. Your arrival, you sealing it, it's all written down… I'm I right?" At those words, Lucifer turned to the side where a cloaked man with chains binding him appeared, holding the book of fate.

This was Destiny of the Endless. Younger brother to Death Of Endless, while Death governed only death, he was was string that gave all of creation its meaning.

"That is true," Destiny said, his voice echoing with ancient certainty.

Ashborn frowned, his eyes narrowing as he turned to Lucifer. Now, he understood. Lucifer didn't just want to escape his father's shadow—he wanted to escape a fate already written. After all, what was freedom if every decision you made was already scripted in someone else's book?

"Well, I'll take you out on two conditions," Ashborn said. Lucifer nodded without hesitation. He didn't need Ashborn to say the words. He already knew what they were.

"I was going to ask for my armor… but this opportunity is too good to pass up," Ashborn said lightly, his mind racing with ideas on how best to use Lucifer. And what could be better than having him help comprehend Death?

Lucifer was one of the few beings beyond Death's grasp. Yes, he could die—but he can just return. In fact, he could bend the Endless to his will if he chose, perhaps even destroy them.

"I can retrieve my armor on my own. What I need most right now is…" Ashborn paused, his eyes narrowing. "Yes—how about you help me comprehend all the powers of the Endless, and assist me in gaining those abilities for myself. Meaning—"

He didn't get to finish. Lucifer silently raised his hand toward the Omniverse.

Fun fact about creation: it was brought into existence by Lucifer and his brother Michael. Michael held the power to create from nothing, but he couldn't give shape to his creations. That task fell to Lucifer, who molded Michael's raw creations into form: space, time, and all the building blocks of reality. Everything was shaped by Lucifer, and he retained the ability to reshape it at will.

Another fun fact: when Lucifer and Michael work together, their combined power rivals that of their father.

"This is the Endless' power," Lucifer said calmly, holding out an orb radiating with divine force. "You can absorb it and merge it with the fusion happening inside you. You don't necessarily need to comprehend it to use their powers… but understanding them would let you unlock their full potential."

Ashborn stared at the orb, momentarily speechless at just how absurdly overpowered Lucifer truly was.

"If I help you comprehend it, that'll count as your second request," Lucifer said. Ashborn nodded silently and took the orb.

Without warning, Lucifer slapped the orb onto Ashborn's forehead.

Ashborn stumbled back, his eyes darting around in confusion. His hand went to his head, disoriented. The entire experience had lasted only an instant—but to him, it felt like trillions of years. In that one fleeting moment, he had been submerged in the raw essence of the Endless: Death, Destiny, Desire, Despair, Destruction, Dream, and Delirium.

These seven—Ashborn had comprehended them all. But it came at a cost.

His mind had been forced to break free from the limitations of a mortal perspective, allowing him to perceive the reality of trillions of years passing in what others would call an instant.

Ashborn knew the drawback of such awareness. He would now struggle to feel the passage of hours, days, or even years—unless something significant demanded his immediate attention. Thor from Marvel faced the same issue. It was why he always seemed so happy to return to Earth; for him, what felt like a day might have been years to everyone else.

This was the flaw of living a long life. Ashborn didn't want to deal with such problems… and to make things worse, even though he had mastered the Endless powers, he couldn't use them—at least not yet. They were still fusing with the rest of his abilities.

That said, his control over darkness had reached unprecedented heights. At this point, even if he resurrected a normal ant as a shadow soldier, that ant would be at least multiversal in power.

In the past, such a creature would barely reach planetary level—proof of just how far Ashborn's strength had grown.

"Another gift from me—learning to master your sense of time will serve you well. Better to deal with it now than later, when you'll start missing important events because your perception of time has adapted to the years you've lived," Lucifer said lightly.

Ashborn simply sighed before teleporting down to Earth.

Yes, now he could return to the Omniverse without issue. And this was just a glimpse of what he'd be capable of once the fusion was complete.

Ashborn reappeared in his mansion.

"What was that? I felt the vibrations ripple across creation," Supergirl asked, flying over to Ashborn with a look of unease.

"Nothing major. I was just fighting the Darkness," Ashborn replied lazily. "It's sealed now, so your only concern should be the others still running around."

As he spoke, his gaze shifted to Raven. This wasn't her true form, but an avatar—her real self now resided in the Sphere of the Gods. Still, her true form was in complete control of this one.

"You're still leaving?" Raven asked quietly.

Ashborn nodded. "Yeah. I need to reach my peak potential first. The Darkness isn't someone I can face in my current weakened state," he said lightly.

Raven lowered her gaze, a flicker of disappointment in her eyes.

"You'll be missed… and…" Supergirl suddenly reached out and took Ashborn's hands, leaving him stunned by the gesture. She locked eyes with him, and for a moment, the world around them seemed to fade. Slowly—bit by bit—her lips began to draw closer to his.
