Chapter 5 - The Order’s Offer and the Succubus’s Failure 1.

These beasts were legends in this world—his kind. Werewolves. But these were the crazed ones, given to the demons as part of a peace treaty. Even so, they were still werewolves. Their golden eyes shimmered under the arena lights.

Then, a howl tore through the air.

"Awooooooooooooooo!"

The crowd fell silent for a moment before erupting in excitement.

The werewolves charged at E999, claws bared, fangs flashing.

The system screen flashed, but E999 had no time to read. A claw slashed toward him. He dodged, twisting away. In the same motion, he countered with a powerful kick, sending one of the beasts flying a few feet back.

Another punch came from the side. A fist like iron hammered toward him. He raised his elbow to block. And the impact rattled his bones, sent him stumbling. The werewolf grinned—stronger, much stronger.

There was no time to breathe. The third and fourth wolves attacked together. Thier claws raked his back, tearing his flesh. He hissed in pain, spun, and rammed his fist into a snarling snout. Thier blood splattered. Its teeth broke. But then—sharp fangs sank into his shoulder.

E999 roared, he then grabbed the werewolf's head, and slammed it down onto his knee. Its skull met E999's bone with a sickening crunch. He tore free, leaving chunks of his own flesh in the monster's jaws. Blood poured down his arm, but he ignored it.

One down. Three left.

The second one leaped. It moved too fast. And It crashed into him, knocking him to the ground. The wolves claws tore at his stomach. Hot blood gushed out from his stomach, painting the sand red. E999's vision blurred. The crowd screamed.

Not yet.

He reached up, dug his fingers into the werewolf's eyes, and ripped it out. A high-pitched shriek came out from its snout. It reeled back,E999 clutching its ruined face. didn't let it escape. With a burst of strength, he drove his knee into its throat. It gagged. He grabbed its head and twisted it. A sick snap was heard. And it fell Lifeless.

Two down.

Pain burned through his body. He could barely stand up. The third werewolf hesitated.and that was good. He used that momentum. Rushing forward, he feinted left but struck right at the wolves ribcage, his fist caving in its ribcage. It howled, staggering around. He followed up with one strike, two, three—until its chest was pulp.and It collapsed, gasping for air, its lungs crushed.

Three down.

The last one stood on its hinds, barely holding itself up. Just like him. Blood dripped from both their bodies. And thier eyes was locked Together.

The final werewolf bared its fangs, panting heavily. Its golden eyes burned with rage, but there was hesitation now—a flicker of fear. Blood dripped from its mouth, staining its fur.

E999 wiped his own blood from his face. His vision swam, his body screamed in agony, but he couldn't stop now. His fingers twitched, aching for a weapon, but there was none. He had to end this with his bare hands.

The werewolf snarled and lunged. E999 stood his ground. At the last moment, he sidestepped, dodging by a hair. The beast's claws sliced the air where he had been. He countered—an elbow to its jaw, a knee to its ribs. It reeled back, dazed.

He pressed forward, slamming his fist into its gut. Another strike. Another. Each hit drove the werewolf further into weakness, but E999 was losing strength too. His breaths were ragged, his limbs heavy.

The werewolf roared, making one last desperate swipe. He ducked, grabbed its wrist, and twisted. A crack echoed. The beast howled in agony.

This was it.

Summoning the last of his strength, E999 leaped, wrapping his legs around the werewolf's neck. With a brutal twist, he snapped it sideways. A sharp, sickening crunch.

The body collapsed. Motionless.

°~[REWARD: Instant Level Up]~°

Power surged through him, refreshing his body, healing his wounds little by little. He gasped, feeling the strength return. The pain dulled, but exhaustion remained.

The arena was silent for a moment. Then—an explosion of cheers erupted from the audience.

The match was over.

Another notification appeared in his view.

°~[Survive your opponents]~°

°~[REWARD: +100 EXP]~°

°~[New Tabs Unlocked]~°

A loud SLAP echoed through the arena.

E999 barely had time to process it before the crowd gasped. He looked up.

Graham stood there, towering over Potty, his hand still raised. Potty staggered, his cheek red and swollen.

"How dare you change the fight's routine?! You almost lost everything!" Graham's voice boomed, filled with rage.

Potty didn't respond. He just grinned, his head tilted slightly, blood trickling from his lip.

E999 tried to focus, to listen, but the exhaustion hit him like a crashing wave. His vision blurred. His body felt heavy.

And then—darkness.

He collapsed, unconscious before he could hear the rest.

In a dark abyss, E999 stood alone. The void stretched endlessly, silent and empty.

A fox appeared, its fur shimmering white and gold. It radiated a soft glow, pushing back the darkness.

E999 narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?" he asked.

No response. The fox simply stared. Then

DING!

A system screen popped up above the fox's head.

E999 felt something shift inside him. Power stirred, unfamiliar yet… right.

The fox's golden eyes met his. Its voice echoed in the abyss, calm yet absolute.

"You will wake up in ten minutes."

Then, it vanished, leaving only its fading light.

---

E999 woke with a groan, his body aching as if he'd been torn apart and stitched back together with fire. His head throbbed. His skin felt raw. He remembered the darkness, the blood, the werewolves—then nothing.

His instincts screamed danger. He bolted upright, only to slam into a cold, hard wall. His breath hitched. His heart pounded like a war drum. Was it a dream? A nightmare? He exhaled sharply, forcing himself to relax.

Then, something flickered before his eyes.

His mind reeled. What the hell?

A notification? A system? His fingers twitched. He knew this concept—it was straight out of those ridiculous web novel ads he always ignored. Reincarnation, other worlds, demons—I get all that. But this?.

He scoffed. For Christ's sake, I used to hate this crap. All those pesky authors writing the same overused system stories. Never read one, never wanted to. Just saw the ads.

But now… this is real.

Curiosity clawed at him. "Menu," he muttered, testing it out. The screen shifted.

A new panel appeared.

E121 walked with a quiet grace, his movements calculated, almost too smooth to be human. He made his way through the bloodstained halls of the Colosseum, each step echoing against the stone like a whisper of death. When he reached the cell at the end of the corridor, he stopped, cleared his throat, and waited..

The red-haired boy inside barely reacted at first. His gaze was distant, hollow. But slowly, his eyes shifted up to meet E121's.

"E999," E121 said in a calm, unreadable tone. "Are you ready? There's only one way out of this place… and that's by joining my order. But that comes later. Right now, there's something I want to show you."

He unlocked the cell and pulled the boy out by the arm. E999 didn't resist. Something about the man was familiar—he couldn't explain why—but he felt no danger in following him. Not yet.

They moved through the bowels of the Colosseum, passing broken doors, flickering torches, and the muffled screams of the dying. Their destination was a place rarely spoken of aloud: the Demon Market. A twisted reward center where gladiators could spend their hard-earned points—on pleasure, pain, or rank.

It took them thirty minutes to reach it. The air grew heavier the closer they got. The walls seemed to sweat. Moans and grunts filtered in from somewhere unseen.

At the entrance stood two lizardmen—scaly, sharp-jawed creatures with slit eyes and curved blades.

"Well, well," one of them hissed. "Some fine gladiators looking to spend. What can I do for you two?"

E121 didn't hesitate. "We need a tail. Actually—make it two. One for me, one for him."

He gestured toward E999.

It was then that E999 noticed something strange. None of these creatures were speaking English. Not even E121. And yet… he understood them perfectly. Every word. The language felt ancient, primal—something buried deep in his blood. Something not from Earth.

Before he could dwell on it, E121's voice broke through his thoughts.

"Come on. We're done here."

A pouch jingled in his hand as he led E999 deeper inside.

This was a different world entirely. The stalls and corridors here weren't designed for fighting—they were built for indulgence. For corruption.

As they approached the entrance to the female cells, a towering demon blocked their path. E121 tossed the pouch at him. The beast caught it midair, sniffed it once, and smiled—rows of jagged teeth glinting in the dim light. He stepped aside without a word.

Inside was a nightmare.

The air was thick with sweat and semen. The moans of women echoed off the walls—pleasure, pain, or something in between. Gladiators, some still bloodstained from earlier battles, were rutting into the captives like rabid animals. Some were gentle. Most weren't.

E121 turned to E999 and smiled, as if he'd just brought him to a feast.

"This is where we come to take the edge off," he said.

E999 looked around, his stomach twisting in disgust. The place smelled like rot and lust. He turned to say something—but E121 was already gone, thrusting into a middle-aged woman like he was trying to break her.

Then he heard it—a whistle.

E999 turned his head.

She was behind the bars. A woman, maybe in her twenties. Her body was flawless. Her stare, predatory. She smirked at him, lips curling with silent invitation.

He felt it immediately. His feet began to move. His mind went cloudy. Every step brought him closer to her cell—until suddenly—

°~[Ding.]~°

°~[An ability has been detected.]~°

°~[Nullifying effects activated.]~°

°~[Charm has been blocked.]~°

Everything stopped.

E999 stood still, blinking. The fog in his head cleared. He turned to her and smiled—not in attraction, but in defiance.

The woman's eyes narrowed. No one had resisted her before. Her smirk disappeared.

She tried again, harder this time. Nothing.

E999 met her stare and activated

So, that's what she was.

E999 grinned and turned away. The succubus girl clenched the bars, not used to rejection. But her interest had shifted—now she wanted him for real.

E121 returned a few minutes later, breathing heavily, face flushed with sweat and satisfaction.

"So, how was it?" he asked, casual, like they'd just come back from a tavern.

E999 shrugged. "It was… good. Just a little disgusting."

They walked back in silence. When they reached the cell, E121 leaned in close and whispered, "Tomorrow. East wing. Third cell. Be there."

He flashed a crooked smile and left.

Later that night, two shadows shifted inside E121's private quarters.

E121 spoke from the dark. "How is he?"

A girl stepped forward. Slender, petite, with eyes that had seen too much.

"He'll do," she said. "Not bad. At least our numbers grow."

She paused, thoughtful.

"Make sure he gets to the base tomorrow. And more importantly—find out what power he inherited. It might be useful to us more power more success.
