Stepping out of Nicholas' company Kiera heaved a deep sigh as her mind buzzed with a mixture of frustration and anxiety.
The Campbell group was about crumbling and she needed to figure out ways to get it sustained and working perfectly. Thanks to Nicholas' selfishness, she had her work cut out for her. Just as she reached for her car keys, her phone chimed, interrupting the solitude she sought.
Releasing another sigh, Kiera retrieved her phone and glanced at the screen. It was her trusted assistant, Lisa. She pressed the answer button, bracing herself for the news that awaited her.
"Hello, Lisa," Kiera greeted, her voice betraying a trace of weariness.
"Ma'am, I have some urgent information to share," Lisa voiced with urgency.
"I know I cannot dekay it so shoot. Tell me the bad news."
