After Vespera left the infirmary, Klaus continued to look after the unconscious Seraphim. The nurse had assured him that her condition had stabilized, but she still needed plenty of rest.
Her injuries had been healed, so she wasn't in any physical danger. However, her mental state was another matter entirely. Advanced clerics could mend the body, but the mind was far more complicated. There was no telling what kind of psychological damage she might have suffered. Still, Klaus remained confident that she would recover smoothly.
... …Or else, he might actually be charged with murder. He was too young to go to prison.
Shaking his head, Klaus pushed the thought away. But there was something else that made him frown.
The nurse said someone would take her place here due to her supposed meeting with the directing board but so far I haven't seen anyone.
Why hasn't anyone come yet? And how much longer must I wait?
