Akin steps out of Council Member 1's office and heads to Leo's house. On the way, he calls Leo and says, "Let's meet at your place to make a plan." Leo agrees. Soon, everyone gathers at Leo's house, and Akin begins explaining the strategy.
(The scene shifts to Zenix's base.)
Kazen watches in awe and exclaims, "Whoa! Hellesa, you've become incredibly strong. You defeated Isaac so easily! You've trained hard, but somehow, you've surpassed all of us."
Hellesa smirks and replies, "Isaac's downfall wasn't just my strength—it was his overconfidence. He wasn't fighting at his full potential. If he had, the battle would have been much tougher for me."
Kazen tilts his head and asks, "Do you think you would have lost or won?"
Hellesa crosses her arms and confidently responds, "Nah, I'd still win."
(The scene shifts to a conversation between Izaki, Isaac, and Maria.)
Izaki leans forward with excitement. "I have a plan! Let's test her strength gradually. At some point, we'll all attack her together and see what she's truly capable of. Who knows? She might even transform into a beast."
Maria frowns. "We might consider your plan, but definitely not that last part."
Izaki raises an eyebrow. "Why not?"
Maria crosses her arms. "What, do you want to kill your sister or something?"
Isaac interrupts, his tone serious. "This isn't the time for jokes. Council Member 0 just escaped from prison… along with other council members."
Maria and Izaki freeze. "What?! They're still alive?!" Maria exclaims.
Isaac remains calm. "Not all of them—only some. But we need to be ready. Council Member 0 won't let this go. He's coming for revenge."
Maria's expression darkens. "But why did he turn himself in to the police in the first place? He could have easily escaped or even killed them."
Isaac narrows his eyes. "There's a reason for that. He's not foolish enough to surrender without a purpose."
(The scene shifts to Leo's house. The dimly lit room buzzes with quiet tension as Akin gathers his team.)
Akin places a folded sheet of paper on the table and slides it toward Leo. "Leo, take this paper and, by any means necessary, get Merin to sign it."
Leo picks up the paper, flipping it in his hands. "Alright," he nods. "But what exactly is this for?"
"This is crucial," Akin emphasizes. "This will serve as one of our key pieces of evidence."
David, also known as Agent 99, leans forward, his voice laced with curiosity. "So, who's the target?"
Akin's gaze hardens. "Kevin. Listen carefully—Kevin frequently uses a laptop. He often leaves it unattended, which is our opportunity. We need to get our hands on it, hack into it, and send a warning letter to Merin. Once Merin sees the letter, he'll be confused and distracted. That's when Leo will present the paper for him to sign. He won't be paying enough attention to read it thoroughly."
Sam, Agent 57, raises an eyebrow. "And what exactly is written on this paper?"
Akin smirks slightly. "It's a contract… for assassinating Kevin."
Sam's eyes widen slightly. "And who is the supposed assassin?"
"That information is not necessary," Akin replies firmly. "Once Merin signs it, keep it hidden in a secure place. No one can know about it until the time is right."
Cosco, Agent 68, finally speaks up. "And what about Kevin himself? Are we just waiting for him to slip up?"
"No," Akin responds. "We need to keep a close eye on him. We need to learn his daily routines, his movements, and any vulnerabilities he might have. Once we have enough intel, we'll formulate a strategy to take him out."
David crosses his arms. "And who's in charge of tracking him?"
Cosco smirks. "I'll do it. Spying is my specialty."
Akin nods. "Good. Cosco, your job is to shadow Kevin and report back with his schedule and habits. Once we have that information, we can move forward with the plan."
Akin steps back, taking a deep breath before continuing. "Here's how it'll go down. I'll take position on a rooftop near Kevin's house. When the time is right, I'll take the shot. Once Kevin is down, someone needs to report the incident to the police."
Leo tilts his head. "And who's handling that?"
"You will," Akin states. "You'll take the signed contract with you. When the police ask, hand it over and tell them that Merin instructed you to give it to Kevin. After that, leave the area and inform Merin that Kevin has been killed."
Sam frowns. "Wouldn't Merin just act like he doesn't know anything?"
Akin nods. "Exactly. That's why one of us needs to stay at the scene to confirm to the authorities that Merin had prior knowledge of the assassination. The bullet I use will have his fingerprints on it, ensuring we have a solid case against him. That way, we'll have two major pieces of evidence linking him to the crime."
David smirks. "And when he realizes he's trapped?"
"He'll try to pin it on Leo," Akin says, locking eyes with Leo. "But Leo, you'll tell the police that Merin ordered you to hire an assassin to take out Kevin. That shifts the blame onto him."
Leo nods slowly. "And then?"
"Then the police will take him in for interrogation," Akin explains. "That's our opening. While Merin is being questioned, we break into his office and fabricate more evidence against him. We need to make it airtight—enough to ensure his downfall."
Silence hangs in the room as the team processes the plan.
Cosco finally exhales. "It's risky."
Akin smirks. "All great plans are. But if we pull this off, Merin goes down, and we're free."
One by one, the team nods, determination settling over them.
The plan was set. Now, all that remained was execution.
