FUCK!" The arsonist, having fully recovered from being destroyed by the Freedom Junkie screamed. "THAT FUCKER! HE GOT ME!" His rage had boiled over. The puppetmaster was also awake, too. Her porcelain skin was chipping off quickly, but she knew it would regrow.
"What do we do now?" She asked, wondering.
To that, the Arsonist smiled. "What now? We burn the forest down! That's what we do now!! I will destroy it all! That's the only way to escape afterwards! I'll find that damn Freedom douchebag later and figure out a way to kill him. I don't know if he can be defeated, but I gotta try!"
In a last moment of pure bliss and happiness, the Arsonist set the entire forest ablaze. The entire forest was set on fire in an instant. It took less than 10 seconds for the entire forest to completely die out. Even the ghosts, including that of the old man, were burned away in the fire! It was brilliant, magnificent, glorious! The man had never felt so free in his life, destroying something so sacred with the pure unadulterated feel of fire!
-Many Years Ago-
A girl woke up in a daze. She had been hired by the Authorities to keep order throughout the world. Her only purpose was to fight for those authority figures. Born in a war, a bloodbath. She had never known a moment of peace. She grew up, fighting in a war, a struggle for power over her country and the rebels that took it. Indoctrinated into the military of New America to fight against the robot rebellion.
In her entire life, she had never had any form of hope or expectations of happiness. It was all a fight for survival. She killed so many, and in such an animalistic and barbaric way, that she was named "The Wild Animal"
In later stages of her life, she was forced, forced to join a outlying organization that had the purpose of stopping and killing one man. A man responsible for killing millions. A man, who people feared, would someday destroy everything.
This man was ruthless. He killed women and children without hesitation or remorse. He comitted brutal acts such as torture, slavery, grave robbing, cannibalism and genocide. He treated nobody & nothing with any sort of respect, choosing to live life as if there was no tomorrow.
In all of this, she couldn't see the true depth of the world, and only chose to follow orders, killing those who deserved it. Killing those who were a threat to her organization.
But there was one person she could never kill. That man! The man who her entire organization was trying to kill. She had never seen his face. Never heard his voice. But the stories people would tell about him bordered on line of fiction.
Although he was her enemy, and her sole purpose in life was to kill him. Her only desperate need in life was to kill this monsterous existence. Even so, she was oddly inspired. The man, while deserving to die in every regard, still filled her with hope. Unlike her, who was a soldier with no free will of her own, this man had an abundance of free will. He would do whatever he wanted, and would regret nothing. In a way, not only was he a sadistic piece of shit that deserved to die, but he was also the one shining star in her life
And one day, she was sent on a mission, to enter a forest in which several people have been missing in for a while. Her mission this time was to discover what happened to the missing people, however, she got trapped, and was unable to escape. After spending years in this forest, she had somehow grown into a disgusting, vile monster that loomed above the trees.
She knew, because the organization told her, that staying in the forest for a long time, would warp her body into that of a monster, with no thoughts or ambition.
Just rage.
The only way to go back to normal was to make contact with someone who was just like the man she had longed to kill. Someone with true free will.
When J first made contact with her, he didn't know that his free will would bring her back to normal.
And now that he did, she knew she had to owe her life to him, to protect him, to save him. She no longer cared about the man that she longed to kill. Now, her entire life belonged to the one who saved her life & turned her back into a normal human.
PRESENT DAY
"What's going on?" I shouted, wondering why this random girl was protecting me and Kyle.
"Hey!" The girl shouts over to me. "I don't know who you are, but you've gotta run! They're gonna be here any second now!"
Taking Kyle, I instantly ran, but looking back, I saw the 2 demons teaming up against her.
She used her abnormal level of strength & endurance to claw her way through the demon's defenses, while being bomboarded by the Holy Flame of Retribution.
Throughout all of this, not a single burn mark appeared on her face. She punched the ground so hard, that a large earthquake shook the forest, and the demons had no choice but to fall back for a second.
Unfortunately, the demons both easily got back up and completely destroyed her with their Holy Flame of Retribution. But she was not dead. Just unconscious.
Showcasing her level of power, she just stood there, standing on both legs, proud & strong. Having survived the Holy Flame of Retribution, she was defeated, but would stand upright, unable to fall. For if she fell, her ambition would die along with her.
"Kyle, go!" I shouted, screaming at him to run. We ran and ran until we couldn't any more. Suddenly, the demons were upon us. We were trapped. There was nothing we could do!
But, as if a miracle rained down on us to save us, a giant burst of red hot flames completely engulfed everything!
Not a single thing was left behind! In a matter of seconds, the entire forest was destroyed.
I remember back to our previous conversation. The only way to destroy the forest was through fire! The arsonist must've woken up & wanted to leave! His 2 friends probably also woke up. I mean, the laser guy was hit the worst, his arms cut off from my attack.
Both of the demons, in shock and awe, looked back at the bright, hot fire, and were unfortunately burned to a crisp. They're demons, so I thought they'd be immune to fire, but what i'm absolutely certain of is that they're not dead. Demons can be defeated, but they can't die. They'd most likely just be returned to hell if they were killed on this planet.
As the entire forest is instantly burned to the ground, we are left in a giant crater, finally free to go wherever we want. "We're out, let's teleport away!" Kyle shouts, but I scream over to him. "No! I have to find Shelby first! We just left her there! What if she's hurt."
Kyle was surprised. He asked "You can't just teleport to her." I took a while to respond, but eventually let out a few mumbles. "The truth is, I can't teleport to people if I don't know where they are. It only works on people, though. When teleporting to places, I can go wherever I want!"
He stares at me, with an expression so serious that it could cut rock. "Come back safe. Don't die out there."
"Heh." I close my eyes, smiling. "Don't worry. I can't die! I'm the Freedom Junkie!"
After saying that, I teleport away, trying to teleport as far into what used to be the forest as possible. "I just have to teleport through here, to look for it." I had lost the orb in the ensuing battle, and desperately needed to find it as well. Just where did I drop it? If its so bad that Demons need it, surely it wouldn't be right to just leave it in a giant crater in the middle of nowhere.
The rationalist in me was screaming to find it, while the emotionalist in me was telling me just to leave it and look for Shelby. I decided to make a compromise and just look for both.
Unfortunately, I wasn't that lucky. Instead, I encountered the Arsonist. The guy looked terrible.
"Hey, half hot half stupid! How are you doing today?" I shout out comically
In his eyes, are a flaming rage that's nearly indescribable. "You fucking piece of shit! I'm gonna fucking burn you alive!"
He's clearly not thinking with any rationality! Suddenly, he does something I've never seen him do before. He ignites fire right under his body, fire so powerful, that it lifts him up in the air like some kind of jet propulsion.
He's flying! He's flying using fire! That's incredible!
"You think you're special because you can do that? Well, I can do it too!" I shout in the air. The truth is, teleportation is my only power, but I can technically fly with it.
I learned it a long time ago, but I can choose to teleport into the sky, and when falling back down, I could teleport back into the sky again. With that strategy, I could implement a psuedo-form of flight that makes it look like im flying, when in reality, im just teleporting in the air.
I call it "Quantum Flight!"
"Don't think you'll be able to beat me this time! You don't have any water with you this time around!" He screams as he lauches himself towards me.
However, the second he touched me, his entire body disintegrated once again. He was flying so fast that he didn't even notice the moment of death. And his last words ever, happened to be: "What the he-"
Teleporting back on the ground, I immediately start laughing with a boisterous tone. "You idiot! I teleported into a lake and doused myself in water before going to look for Shelby and the orb! I made sure that I would look dry by not putting water on my hair or clothes, but every other part of me, completely soaked!" I can't believe that idiot would fall for this. This time, he's definitely not coming back, he's dead for good. I look over to the side, and notice the porcelain girl right there. She's trying to hide, but it's not really that possible in a giant open crater.
Regardless, I decide to ignore her. She's not hurting anyone, and I have bigger fish to fry.
-Meanwhile, on the other edge of the crater-
Kyle was getting nervous. J hadn't been back in 10 minutes, and he was definitely getting anxious. Thoughts raced through his head. What if he died? What if Shelby died? What if more demons showed up, and he couldn't fight them off?
His thoughts, however, immediately came to a stop once he realized that there were other people here! A group of people with armor, weapons, and giant artillery were heading straight for him. A man, maybe a general, maybe a seargent, stepped out of a tank, and walked over to Kyle. "Hello, boy! We have to know! Where is the Freedom Junkie?"
Kyle, in shock, decided to take a moment, waiting to ask them. "And why do you want to know?"
He needed to know if these guys were allies or enemies before telling them anything.
To his expectations, the words the man said next filled the boy with shock and fear.
"We're here to kill him, of course."
-Meanwhile, at the other side of the crater-
"Finally!" I shout at the top of my lungs. "I found it! That stupid orb took forever to find!" Next, is to find Shelby. Before teleporting away, I get a strange feeling. Wait! Is that a demon? I look over to the ground, seeing one of the demons, still alive, but barely due to the fire caused by the Arsonist.
The demon's legs were both burnt off, preventing him from dying, while the rest of his body was relatively unscathed, apart from some minor injuries. He was bleeding an awful lot, though, and I couldn't tell where the blood was coming from.
"I guess it turns out that a Demon's blood is black. Who would've known!" I mutter to myself, kind of impressed with the color
Landing down, I look at him, and wonder. "Hey! I need to know! Before you die, I have some questions."
The demon laughs in my face once again. "And why would I answer questions for you? I'm at death's door already!"
Smiling, I calmly speak. "Because I can make your death much worse."
Fear shoots through the demon's heart. It seems for as much torturing they do in hell, they themselves don't fancy being the victim of torture.
"What happens after you die?" I ask, genuinely curious.
"We don't die! We're immortal. At least on this plane of existence. We can't be killed, we just return to hell. Now, if we were to be killed while in hell, then that's another story. We would die, permanently."
It's just as I thought. Opening my pocket, I pull out the orb. "Next question. What is it?"
The demon laughs, before giving a serious expression. "The person in possession of that must die before a new owner can claim it, first of all. So, technically, that orb belongs to that Kyle boy! You can't use it."
I teleport my arm directly through the demon's arm, ripping it off completely. "AAAUGH!" He screams in visceral pain.
"That doesn't tell me what it is?" I calmly recite while hearing him howl in oain "I warned you."
"Fine! I'll tell you! Just no more!"
"Go on..." I shout, wondering what he would say next.
After hearing what it was, my eyes go wide. With a small stutter in my voice, I squeak out an unsure sentence. "Are you serious!?" This thing... it's much more important than I expected. I can't even believe I got ahold of it!
But in the next moment, i'm reminded of what the demon first said about it. It belongs to Kyle.
Suddenly, in a dark, cold, ruthless, callous smile, my mouth arches up into a sadistic and frightening grin. What i'm about to do next... what i'm about to do next...!!!!!!!!!!!
"Kyle."
