Chapter 20 - ACT 1.19: The White Room

Genesis stayed a bit playing with the young infant. The child was quite dumb, it kept tearing at the walls of flesh in an attempt to eat it.

A normal human with a cognitive brain would know that the flesh is raw and the flesh is also a part of a gargantuan beast. How stupid could children be at times?

The group was celebrating the victory of the Brain, after this would be their final fight. This time for real. Genesis wondered how strong the heart would be, he fathomed if it could even fight, perhaps it was just another lump of more important flesh than the lumps of flesh he saw everyday, maybe it was both the former and latter, either way they were still going to end it's life.

The group did the most they could. Having no food and water for the past few days was getting to them, so was the never-ending battle against an animal so cruel and huge.

Genesis's recollections of torment he had here were going to be a constant stain in his mind, speaking of his mind it seemed it was getting ever so close to breaking itself, for his own salvation or destruction he still did not know all he knew was that every day that he went through this torture he was going mad.

His mind looked steady from another person's viewpoint but to himself he was almost gone, he only had to act this way because the more he fooled him self with his fake image of hope and confidence, the more he actually believed he could be the fake person.

He was really the biggest fool here, but the biggest deceiver as well. He had tricked everybody into believing he was stable, yet a single gust of wind could knock him over. Some people were built for high pressure scenarios, Genesis was not one of those people, perhaps his mind wanted to break to then form anew, a stronger more durable mind would be better because he wanted to venture out more, to explore this new world of infinite possibilities and see how much infinite really was.

Genesis wanted to make companions and true friends he could sacrifice his life for, but to Genesis, that still was not enough. He knew it may have seemed greedy, but an infinite possibility of forever evolving worlds was not enough. He did not know what was, but maybe his new mind would fill him with purpose, purpose with limits.

Whilst Genesis wondered about the dexterity of his mind, what he would be if it broke and if he wanted to stop it from self-destruction and how he would stop from self-destruction. There were other people wondering about the predicament of their lives. Such as Lautaro.

***

Lautaro always had a smile on his face because of a memory from long ago. His older brother always told him to smile. Growing up in Nothern Brazil wasn't the easiest, but he and his brother managed to pull through, stealing from the local vendors and playing football.

Eventually, his brother's talent was noticed by a scout and he played for a professional team. Although he was sad he didn't have his brother with him, his brother always managed to make time for him and his life turned around for the better.

Lautaro was still in college when it happened it was a party at the beach, so with the sand and sea calling out his name, he went. He had fun with his friends and some girls as well, but it suddenly struck. The world flipped over. Lautaro tried to hold strong and was actually successful for about a minute before the gravity brought him tumbling through the stars without a shirt or brother.

Lautaro's brother was on a plane back to Brazil to bury their father when it happened and since then, he had gotten no word of his brother. Lautaro naturally missed his brother but kept the word of his brother to keep smiling. He remembered the way they stole bread from the streets and the way they ran when the sellers finally noticed. Nevertheless, they always managed to sneak away into a hidden alleyway. He remembered the way they intricately passed and dribbled through the streets of Brazil. He remembered the way they smiled even after their mother passed away because his brother always said that smiling makes everything better, it makes difficult times easier, much easier. He remembered the way he missed called his name so much as he even said it out loud.

"Cassio."

Sephina strung her bow as she looked the lying man drenched in blood. He looked amazing, but obviously, the blood didn't add to his beauty. He just looked with or without it. Sephina scrambled her thoughts as she looked at Genesis when he first caught her it was love at first sight, he liked the way he was quiet and well kept, she admired him when he stood up to Allus when he threw the spear at the young child.

Sephina rushed to string her bow as she was distracted when she strung it and it stayed in place she was satisfied. When she looked at Genesis, she thought back to how she was before the whole "incident."

Sephina loved the color blue it came from an unhealthy obsession with a video game character, so she was always glad that she had perfect blue eyes. She was born in a more than stable household with food being put on the table three times a day, everyday. Thanks to this advantage, Sephina grew healthier and was always cheerful. Because of this attitude, bullying came and it was tolerable at first, then it went to a sick degree.

They were girls who just beat her up for the better smile on her face. They drowned her in washrooms, never stopping until her hair was pure black. She was contemplating what she should do.

The girls' families were in cahoots with the school and never faced problems, she trued to bring this up to court, but they never believed her because the girls' mothers and fathers had connections to the lawyers aswell.

Her dad's company was plummeting because of a half split divorce from her mother. Whom she now resented. It looked as if everything in her life was becoming worse and worse. Her mind was breaking apart at the tender age of 13. She had no goals or missions she wanted to accomplish she just wanted to play games, eat good food and live. She was a wanderer bound to travel but never find until it struck her hard.

There was an archery class in gym, before this, Sephina had never heard of bows and arrows in real life she thought that they were products of medieval times, bound to time set long ago. Sephina for the first time decided to try something new, she became curios about bows and when she attempted she succeeded, she hit all the targets in perfect form, if she had 3 arrows she would get 30 points and if she had a chance she would shoot the girls in her school.

It wasn't until a ray of hope shone through that she began to change. Her name was Eve and she was the kindest person Sephina had ever seen. They became quick friends and they enjoyed archery together. Sephina bullies became fragments of the past because not all positions last forever. Her dad stopped going bankrupt, sure they had little money, but they had enough to get their happiness back together and to make her life even better, Eve introduced her to something new, Love.

Sephina had heard of love before but was too scared to experience and experiment with it. She had heard of terrible stories of lovers being torn apart and her father and mother were a part of those stories. Yet now she saw it in a more positive light. She saw love as an arrow that pierced through the heart of dark souls like hers and she gradually developed what she liked and disliked in boys.

Her memories brought her back to the present with her staring at quiet and bloodied GGenesis. Helooked back at her and looked her dead in her eyes and smiled. Sephina's heartbeat quickened as she avoided Genesis's tired gaze.

Allus had always had a superiority complex. If he was better than someone, he would brag about it. His only joy came from the fact that others were worse than him. The more his ego grew, the more he grew happier.

Thanks to this, Allus became more and more arrogant, violent and disruptive. He would do everything in his power to prove that he was the best. There was once a time when he bet he could rob from a house without getting caught. He managed to get into the house but didn't manage to get out. He was arrested for robbery. In the prison, he was seen as to bold and was constantly beaten by the others who were stronger than him.

There was once a time when he was so beaten that he was rushed to the hospital because of how bloodied he was. That day, he swore that he would get his revenge against the criminals who wronged him. When Allus got out of the hospital, he started to train with the only thing he could he used his breakfast knife to sharpen the edge of a stick and went to the gym daily to strengthen himself.

It was finally the time to act on his grand plan and Allus was more than ready. Out of the 5 prisoners who beat Allus, 3 were severely injured and 2 were mercilessly killed. Allus prison sentence was increased because of despicable and heinous act, he was given a life sentence and at the court case, he smiled. He smiled because he felt better than those who were killed he felt superior to them and he infant was.

It was a few years into his sentence when the sky flipped over. Allus didn't even try to stay welded to ground. He was glad to escape the prison of his bad memories, but he was also glad to escape the world as a whole, because he felt superior to the world.

Hana was a peculiar case as a child. She always excelled at her studies and school in general. Ger life was a boring, long and annoying journey to her, but she didn't want to do anything about it. Hana could never understand why others did the things they did, why they lied or stole, it was when Hana found out about technology that she saw life in a newer light.

When she first played a game she found it more exhilarating than engaging in human conversation, for that reason she only played single player games, because when she played alone she didn't have to rely on the alliance of others, all that mattered was the success of herself and in herself she trusted.

She stayed late nights playing games and woke up early to play more games. Her parents started to worry about her, so they sent her to a therapist. The therapist tried his best to help get better sleep but it seemed Hana did not want to talk to him at all, all she did wanted to do was to play her games and lock herself in her room.

At the time Hana was of age, she left her parents home and rented an apartment for herself. In the apartment, she tried all sorts of things such as playing games, winning games and building a robot. She felt glad to be surrounded by her own crafts because her crafts never hurt anyone, never lied and never stole. It was on one of her late nights that the world flipped over, all her creations were destroyed and torn apart in the havoc, she cried as she was thrown into the stars and her tears were frozen solid.

Genesis slouched on the flesh wall, he thought more and more about the future until he fell asleep. In his sleep, he had a strange dream.

He was inside a car, racing across the highway in the backseat, the sun shone bright in his eye as the grass surrounding him was a pure green, he looked up to see sign but none told him were he was. There was no one driving in the front, but the car kept going anyway. The car made precise turns and suddenly increased in speed, the action of the invisible driver granted Genesis many yells of disapproval.

The car kept going until it was driven into a place unknown to Genesis it was an ivory portal with the whispers of clouds being a part of it. The car raced into the clouds and Genesis was brought to a place in the skies.

While on the cloud, Genesis saw many wonders such as griffins, dragons materialised from clouds, astronauts with shattered helmets leapt across the sky, their visors although broken, could not be peered into.

Genesis thought the dream as a whole was strange until a huge dragon pierced from the ivory below and hovered in front of Genesis. Genesis stayed still waiting for something to happen, but nothing did the dragon just observed Genesis and dived back down below and the dream ended, perhaps Debmaw's interest would be peaked if he told him about this dream, the bird always studied dreams and loved them, maybe he would also know about them.

Genesis was awoken to the voice of Lautaro and he grumbly rubbed his eyes and stood up waiting for what his friend had to say, his friend chuckled as he was informed that they were all needed as the king had words to say.
