Chapter 92 - Chapter 92

"Chinano, you know the three great children's skills, right?" Zixu took Chinano out alone and asked a question that couldn't be simpler.

Chinano nodded. She knew this, of course. The three great children's techniques included the Sharingan, the Byakugan, and the Rinnegan, also known as the "Eye of God," the same as the Six Paths Sage's.

Two of these three legendary eyes were in Konoha. The village was originally founded by the First Hokage and Uchiha Madara. The Sharingan had been passed down for generations, and the Hyuga clan had joined not long after the village was built. Both families were also considered elders of Konoha.

As for the Rinnegan, no one was known to possess it. Perhaps it only existed in legends, or maybe it was just people's imagination.

"Which clan do you think is stronger, the Uchiha clan or the Hyuga clan?" Zixu asked, throwing out a tricky question. The Uchiha clan had been wiped out for years, so Chinano's memory of them was a bit out of date.

"The Uchiha clan? Compared to our Hyuga clan, their chances of awakening their eyes are much lower. The Hyuga clan has no problem awakening their Byakugan; there are no bottlenecks. But the Uchiha clan..."

Chinano thought of Uchiha Gen, who always had a smile on her face and seemed to notice strange things about her. But she couldn't quite put her finger on what was strange.

"The probability of their clan awakening their eyes is indeed much lower than yours because they need strong emotional fluctuations to trigger it. Negative emotions like hatred and resentment can awaken the Sharingan," Zixu explained.

With Sarutobi's memories, Zixu also knew about the Uchiha clan's tragedy. From his perspective, it was still difficult to understand Uchiha Itachi's decision.

The Uchiha clan had indeed been plotting a rebellion, but Itachi, caught between his clan and Konoha's higher-ups, actually believed what Danzo and the others told him—"The rebellion will fail, blah blah."

His best friend had his eyes stolen and committed suicide in front of him, yet he didn't hold a grudge. Instead, he returned to his family. And to prevent a clan rebellion from causing massive casualties in the village, he wiped out his own kin, leaving only his younger brother alive.

Zixu could only chalk this up to the fact that Uchiha clan members always seemed to develop some sort of mental instability after awakening their eyes.

"Although the Uchiha clan has a lower awakening rate, their strength increases more drastically once they do. Their evolution is clear—one tomoe, two tomoe, three tomoe, Mangekyo..."

"Your Byakugan might be able to suppress a one- or two-tomoe Sharingan, but once it reaches three tomoe, it gets difficult, doesn't it?"

As Zixu spoke, Chinano recalled the stories from the older generation. Over time, the Sharingan had only become more powerful.

"The Mangekyo Sharingan grants unique abilities to each user. This is a natural evolutionary system. Do you think the Byakugan has the potential to evolve? And does your other eye, the Red Eye, also have the possibility of evolution?"

"Now, I have to explain why the Byakugan completely crushes the Sharingan..." Zixu casually pulled out two bottles of juice from his sealing scroll, handing one to Chinano and keeping one for himself.

"Observation and perception," Chinano said as she took the juice. She already knew where this was going.

"Exactly. The Byakugan's observation and perception abilities are far superior to the Sharingan. It can detect hidden enemies from incredible distances, providing a strategic advantage. Logically, you should be mastering long-range ninjutsu, but..."

"But what we're actually trained in is close-range Gentle Fist, and the only long-range technique we have is the Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm," Chinano analyzed, seeing the contradiction clearly.

"Is there something wrong with our inheritance?" she wondered. Since childhood, they had been trained in Gentle Fist without questioning it. But now, it seemed off.

"I don't know, but you're definitely suited for long-range combat. That's why I gave the Pacifist to Orochimaru to study. You saw the guns Hatsuizumi was playing with before, right? I'll get you something even more powerful in the future."

Zixu was talking about a sniper rifle. A perspective-based vision plus a high-powered scope? Perfect combination. And since the Byakugan was easy to awaken, arming the Hyuga clan with guns could turn them into elite sharpshooters. Why waste time with Gentle Fist? Close combat was for reckless idiots—long-range sniping was the way to go.

"That makes sense. But I still believe the Byakugan can evolve. Maybe we're missing something. I just have this feeling that, given the right conditions, it can evolve..." Chinano agreed with Zixu about ranged combat but held firm on her belief in the Byakugan's potential.

"Well, it's possible. You'll have to figure it out yourself. If you actually discover a way for the Byakugan to evolve, even better." Zixu wasn't holding his breath, but he still encouraged her.

"The same goes for your Red Eyes. I don't know much about them, so you'll have to explore their abilities on your own. The Uchiha clan follows an elite combat strategy, while the Hyuga clan takes a universal soldier approach. From a strategic standpoint, the Hyuga clan holds more value."

Zixu finished his juice and patted Chinano on the shoulder.

"But I still want you to be the pinnacle of Hyuga combat power. The Hyuga clan has the potential for high-level fighters, and you're just as strong as anyone else."

"I know," Chinano responded indifferently. Maybe she was tired, because she stretched, her body arching slightly, emphasizing her curves.

"So next, we focus on training your perception abilities, right?" Chinano wasn't one for long conversations. Just give her the objective, and she'd handle the rest. She always got the job done.

"Yeah... Honestly, your personality suits an assassin. But yeah, the next step is sharpening your observation skills. The Byakugan doesn't consume much chakra, so keep it activated while training."

"You need to refine your perspective ability. Watch for any movement within your maximum range. Even the slightest shift must be detected. Stare at it—stare intently—to hone your observation."

Ross made it sound easy, but Chinano frowned. Was he sure he wasn't just trying to torture her?

"Of course, as long as it improves your observation skills, any kind of training works. I just threw this idea out there," Ross shrugged.

He wasn't trying to mess with Chinano. As long as it helped her master long-range perception, any training method was fair game. Precision was key—hit whatever she aimed at.

"Got it. Now there's only one problem left. Once we get through this, we can start building up power for the big move..."

Zixu bid farewell to Chinano. Next, he had to handle Hatsuizumi. Once that was done, his plan could finally begin.
