Chapter 95 - Chapter 95

"Doctor Karin, I think I've been overusing my Byakugan. My left eye isn't working properly. I can't see anything! What's happening to me?"

Karin sighed, adjusting her glasses before glancing at the boy sitting across from her. "Well... could it be because you have an eyepatch on your left eye? Maybe try taking it off?"

The young man blinked, hesitated, then did as she suggested. His vision immediately returned to normal.

"Oh my god! A miracle doctor! Doctor Karin, thank you so much! I can see the light again!" He grinned like a fool, leaving Karin completely speechless.

These idiots weren't here because they were actually sick. They just used the excuse of seeing a doctor to get closer to Karin. As the village's primary medical ninja, she was responsible for teaching medical techniques to the newer generation. Missions were dangerous, and having medical knowledge was crucial, so many young shinobi thought it was a good idea to build a relationship with her.

Besides, Karin had grown into a stunning beauty. Her long, bright red hair and signature red-framed glasses gave her an intellectual yet alluring look. Her deep crimson eyes always carried a subtle charm.

She wore a light purple top that hugged her figure. Though she wasn't particularly well-endowed, her pale, delicate midriff was exposed. Black shorts accentuated her curves, while her long legs were covered in black stockings, wrinkled slightly from sitting too long—an unintentional yet seductive touch.

These features alone were enough to make many teenage boys secretly fall for her. And since she was still single, countless brave souls had mustered the courage to confess to her. Yet every time, she would gently reject them, saying she already had someone she loved—though she never revealed who.

Naturally, this drove the boys crazy. No one knew which lucky bastard had captured their goddess's heart, but they weren't going to give up.

After all, their village had a fine tradition of "poaching" talent. Over the years, many skilled shinobi had been recruited from outside, significantly expanding their ranks. And they weren't about to forget that tradition now.

"If there's nothing else, I'm leaving. My shift is over." Karin glanced at the clock—it was exactly time to clock out. Their official working hours were from 9:55 to 5:00, but their black-hearted boss had tried enforcing unpaid overtime.

Unfortunately for him, the infamous troublemaker Rossinante had threatened rebellion, forcing him to back down. Thanks to Rossinante's efforts, a new anti-exploitation policy had been put in place—no extra pay for overtime, and anyone who didn't leave on time would have their wages deducted.

After a quick scan of the young men in line—none of whom looked seriously ill—Karin ignored their protests and left.

Meanwhile, Hyuga Chinano stood at the training grounds, coaching the next generation of Hyuga marksmen.

"Number 3, four centimeters off center—eliminated."

"Number 8, missing parts during gun assembly—eliminated."

"Number 16, shot a hostage target—eliminated."

Her voice was cold and emotionless, carrying a weight that silenced the trainees. Despite being their age, Chinano's words held an authority that made people instinctively obey.

But the real reason they feared her? Her deadly accuracy.

Chinano's marksmanship wasn't just precise—it was artistic. She accounted for wind speed, bullet weight, breathing patterns, obstacles—every single factor. She never missed. Not once.

The rejected trainees quietly stepped aside. The one who hit the hostage dummy clenched his fists in frustration, but the moment he met Chinano's piercing gaze, he quickly averted his eyes.

Chinano's beauty was just as striking as her skills. If Karin exuded intellectual charm, Chinano embodied icy elegance.

Her pale, porcelain-like skin was cold, like an eternal glacier.

One white Byakugan and one gray eye reflected nothing but ruthless indifference.

Her long blue-violet hair, tied into a high ponytail, swayed as she moved, while the loose strands framing her face gave her an effortless coolness.

Dressed in a simple black uniform, her leather jacket clung tightly to her body. Short black combat pants left her long, toned legs exposed. Many students admired her from afar, but none dared to get too close.

They had learned from experience—one fool who tried to confess to her had been hospitalized for weeks. When Karin treated him, even she couldn't tell what kind of creature he had turned into.

"The rest of you have passed. You'll face harsher tests later, but for now—congratulations."

Chinano offered them a rare, fleeting smile before turning to leave.

The remaining trainees stood frozen in disbelief.

"Did... did Instructor Chinano just smile?"

They were still processing what they had seen when their cold, ruthless instructor vanished into the distance, her smile already a forgotten memory.

Deep within Ryūchi Cave, Aburame Hatsuizumi crouched behind a stone pillar, entering Sage Mode. Unlike most sages, her transformation had a unique twist.

Her long black hair, usually sleek and neat, now had large patches of pure white at the ends, resembling spider silk. Combined with her wild grin, it gave her a strangely unhinged beauty.

She wasn't wearing glasses—she never did in battle, too afraid of breaking them. Those glasses were a precious gift from Zixu, and she had cherished them ever since.

Her crimson eyes shimmered, the only noticeable mutation being the slight serpent-like slits in her pupils.

She grinned wider—far too wide for a normal human—as she channeled Senjutsu Chakra into her insects. With it, she had completely evolved her Moonlight Bugs into Sage Bugs.

However, since her Sage Mode was still incomplete, some of her bugs would occasionally mutate into snakes. She was working on fixing that.

"Hah... finally, it's time to escape and find Zixu!"

A sharp gust of wind signaled an approaching figure—Ichikishima-hime emerged from the shadows.

"Gotcha~"

She formed a massive hand of condensed Senjutsu energy, aiming to capture Hatsuizumi. But in an instant, several barely visible white streaks sliced through the hand, shattering it completely.

Hatsuizumi retracted her Moonlight Bugs, unfazed.

Ichikishima-hime sighed. "Why do you never listen? I told you—you need to defeat me first."

But the Aburame girl only smiled wider.

"Oh? Who said I didn't?"

Ichikishima-hime froze. Following Hatsuizumi's pointed finger, she found a tiny dagger of insects and snakes pressed against her throat.

At some point during their battle, Hatsuizumi had slipped past her guard and left her a "gift."

Ichikishima-hime clicked her tongue in frustration. She had been careless.

Shaking her head, she sighed. "Fine. I'll send you back to the village... but Zixu isn't there right now."

Hatsuizumi's eyes widened—then she immediately pouted.

"Tch. So much for my grand escape..."

But despite her disappointment, that eerie, mischievous grin never left her face.
