Chapter 62: Vegito Battles Dark Demon God Buu
"Huh?" Although Chronoa was puzzled, she still took off the Potara earring from her ear and handed it to Goku. "What are you planning to do?"
Goku didn't answer her. Instead, he turned to Vegeta with a grin. "Vegeta, let's fuse too!"
"Hmph, what are you thinking?!" Vegeta angrily shouted, "Get lost! Who wants to fuse with you?!"
Goku, however, was unfazed and went ahead to put on the earring. "Don't you want to fight Buu, who's this strong?"
"Or perhaps... that ridiculously powerful Lin Qi..."
"Goku-san, let Lin Qi defeat Buu," Trunks protested with disapproval. "You guys can't even move right now!"
"That's why we need the Potara!" Goku said excitedly, looking at Vegeta.
"Hmph!" Vegeta snorted coldly, holding the earring as he put it on his ear. "This will be the last time!"
As soon as they wore the Potara earrings, the two were drawn toward each other like magnets. A dazzling flash of light burst forth.
Vegito appeared!
"Hey, Lin Qi... Let me take over!" As soon as Vegito emerged, he roared and transformed into Super Saiyan 4.
His free-spirited and unruly aura burst forth as he leapt into the air, inserting himself into the battle between Lin Qi and Dark Demon God Buu.
When Vegito blocked the incoming punch from Dark Demon God Buu, Lin Qi remained calm. He smiled faintly and said, "Alright!"
"But after we finish him off, let's have a match too!"
"Heh heh..." Vegito smirked wickedly, blocking Buu's incoming kick. Placing both hands at his waist, he began gathering an overwhelming surge of energy in his palms.
"Ha-yah!"
The powerful energy wave swept through the surroundings, causing Chronoa and Trunks to shield themselves from the violent gusts.
Already weary of dealing with the difficult Lin Qi, Dark Demon God Buu felt an urge to retreat. Now that Vegito had joined the fray, his expression grew even more vicious. Quickly, he slashed a black hole in front of himself.
Having absorbed Dabura's body and memories, Dark Demon God Buu decided to head to the location of the next Dark Dragon Ball!
Although he wasn't fully familiar with the unique powers of a Mage, he could still perform a temporal transfer, and for Buu, that was more than enough!
The overwhelming energy shot toward Buu, causing a massive explosion upon collision.
Amidst the billowing smoke, Dark Demon God Buu had already entered the black hole and fled.
"Damn it!" Vegito extended one hand and fired a Ki blast to clear the smoke, but Dark Demon God Buu was nowhere to be found.
"What happened?" Chronoa's eyes widened as she screamed in panic, covering her face with her hands. "Ah... he's gone, and the Dark Dragon Ball is missing too!"
"Oh no..."
Seeing Chronoa collapse into despair, Trunks hurriedly stepped forward to comfort her. "Stay calm, Supreme Kai of Time! Stay calm!"
"How can I stay calm?!" Chronoa retorted hysterically. "If they've taken Dark Demon God Buu and the Dark Dragon Ball, they now have three of them! Ahhh!"
Chronoa was completely losing it.
"Are the Dark Dragon Balls that important?" Lin Qi cast an indifferent glance at the frantic Chronoa. "Didn't you say our mission was to correct the mistakes of history?"
"Hmph! Let them have it!" Vegito scoffed in mid-air before gesturing to Lin Qi.
"Come on, Lin Qi!"
"Alright..." Lin Qi leapt into the sky, facing Vegito from a distance.
Chronoa watched her time patrol members act like this and became even more unhinged. She fell to her knees, clutching her head with her hands, tears welling in her eyes.
"It's over... everything's a mess! History is completely chaotic!"
Neither Lin Qi nor Vegito paid attention to the frenzied Chronoa. Their silent exchange of glances indicated that an epic battle was about to erupt.
Their towering auras flickered like flames in the wind as Vegito charged at Lin Qi with incredible speed.
Lin Qi remained unflustered. Without even changing his expression, he bent his arm to block Vegito's punch, signaling the beginning of his counterattack.
The two figures darted across the sky at an unimaginable pace, causing Trunks below to widen his eyes in astonishment.
Even the almost hysterical Chronoa gradually calmed down, turning her attention to the intense fight.
The battle between Lin Qi and Vegito transcended the realm of human imagination.
Every move and gesture seemed capable of tearing the heavens and earth apart!
"Incredible... truly incredible!" Trunks exclaimed in awe.
Lin Qi teleported behind Vegito and kicked him, sending him flying.
Though Vegito reacted in time, his body couldn't keep up, and he was flung backward, crashing through several mountains before finally coming to a halt.
Vegito emerged from the rubble, struggling to leap back into the air. However, Lin Qi didn't hold back, launching a barrage of Ki blasts.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The sky erupted in explosions as countless Ki blasts poured out of Lin Qi's palms. Smoke and dust enveloped half the sky.
"Hey! Stop it! You'll end up altering history!" Chronoa finally snapped out of her shock and shouted desperately.
But the two combatants were too engrossed to care.
Within the rolling smoke, a loud roar broke through. A powerful burst of energy dispersed the smoke, and Vegito charged at Lin Qi.
"I didn't expect your strength to be this formidable!" Lin Qi said with a hint of admiration, blocking Vegito's punch.
Another intense clash ensued as their figures turned into streams of light, flickering across the battlefield.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Vegito smirked, growing more excited as the fight went on. He vanished from Lin Qi's sight, only to reappear high in the air the next moment.
A powerful energy ball hurtled toward Lin Qi below, but Lin Qi countered by firing a Ki blast, resulting in a fierce tug-of-war between their energy attacks.
"These two..." Chronoa was furious but utterly helpless against Lin Qi and Vegito's overwhelming strength.
As the battle dragged on, it gradually reached its climax.
"Heh... looks like you're running out of steam," Lin Qi said, his attacks becoming faster and more relentless. Vegito was beginning to lose ground.
"Damn it..." Vegito realized his disadvantage. As Lin Qi's punch approached, his body began to emit light.
"Swish!"
Vegito split back into Goku and Vegeta. Lin Qi halted his punch and descended to the ground.
"Tap."
Lin Qi cast a cold glance at the troubled Chronoa. "What are you worrying about now?"
"We're wondering where Dark Demon God Buu might have fled!" Trunks speculated, trying to piece together possible scenarios.
