DIANA
The pair of brown eyes staring right back at me was making me want to hide. His eyes were set on me before slightly shifting to my side. I saw Jane had stopped in her tracks while Dom was whispering something to her.
Then Rosario's gaze shifted to me again and his lips curled into an evil smirk that made my stomach churn.
"Ignore him," Mom said through gritted teeth and tugged my hand to get my attention.
I averted my eyes from him and nodded at Mom.
"Now, go to the other debutants and mingle."
"Mom! What will I say to them?"
"You don't need to say anything. You are Dominic D'Amico's sister. You just need to stand there and the girls will flock around you. And don't forget, Dario Genovese's sister is one of them too. Talk to her."
"Mom. I can't. They are all so young. I won't know what to say to them."
Mom looked at me pointedly, her face a mask of anger and frustration. I looked to my side but Dom and Jane were nowhere in sight.
