DIANA
We took a corner table with a cosy semi-circular sofa beside the window overlooking the tall trees surrounding the restaurant. It had started to snow a little when we arrived here.
We had finished our meal, and I had the extreme urge to have hot chocolate with marshmallows. Thankfully, they had it here, and the waitress just served a delicious spread of accompaniments with hot chocolate.
As I took a sip of my hot chocolate, I could sense Antonio's gaze burning into me.
"Aren't you having dessert?" I asked, pretending not to know that he was staring.
"I don't like sweets."
"Are you serious? Who doesn't like sweets? I took another sip of the smooth and hot chocolatey drink while he just shrugged with a smile.
"You love hot chocolate, don't you?"
"Yeah. Very much."
"Hmm… I'll have to learn how to make it then," he muttered under his breath, but I think he didn't realise that I heard.
Should I ask him about it?
