Chapter 33: The Wrath
After their journey across the alien planet in search of the cure, Hikaru and his team found themselves in a dire situation. What was once a desperate search had now turned into a full-scale war. It wasn't just Violet Hojo who had come to stop them—standing before them was the entire Hojo Clan.
Lined up in formation, their presence was overwhelming. Vector Hojo, the most dangerous among them, stood at the front with an air of authority, his eyes locked onto Hikaru. Beside him, the fierce and unpredictable Venom Hojo flexed his fingers, cracking his knuckles as he scanned the humans like prey. Vimal Hojo stood with an eerie calmness, his silver hair swaying slightly in the wind. Meanwhile, Vally Hojo observed from the side, smirking as if already predicting their victory.
"You humans have gone too far," Vector Hojo said coldly. "You dare step into our world, disrupt our operations, and now expect to leave unscathed? Foolish."
Hikaru narrowed his eyes. "We came here to save our people, not to fight your war. But if you stand in our way, we won't hesitate."
The tension in the air thickened, and without another word, the battle erupted.
Hikaru vs. Vector Hojo
Vector Hojo lunged first, moving at a speed almost faster than the eye could follow. Hikaru barely dodged as a razor-sharp gust of wind sliced through the ground where he had been standing. Vector wasted no time, summoning a powerful storm around him. Hikaru countered with an energy blast, clashing against the storm, but Vector simply absorbed the force into his wind, redirecting it.
"You're strong," Vector admitted, "but strength alone won't save you."
Hikaru gritted his teeth. He needed to find an opening—but against a wind manipulator this skilled, one wrong move could mean instant death.
Muscle vs. Venom Hojo
Muscle charged at Venom Hojo with full force, his fists glowing with raw energy. But Venom was no ordinary warrior. With a flick of his wrist, he sent countless wind daggers toward Muscle. The projectiles sliced through the air at breakneck speed. Muscle barely managed to deflect them with his Zero Knuckle technique.
"You're tough," Venom said with a smirk, "but I wonder if you can withstand my full strength."
Muscle knew this fight would be brutal. He tightened his stance, readying himself for what was to come.
Vally Hojo vs. Ojjisan, Akito, and Aoi
Ojjisan, Akito, and Aoi faced off against Vally Hojo, who floated slightly above the ground, manipulating the winds beneath him. He chuckled, twirling his fingers.
"Three against one? That hardly seems fair... for you," Vally mocked.
Akito activated his invisibility, trying to land a surprise attack, but Vally's wind sense was sharp. The moment Akito got close, Vally summoned a gust that threw him backward. Ojjisan followed up with a lightning bolt, but Vally simply waved his hand, dissipating the attack as if it were nothing.
"You'll have to do better than that," Vally sneered.
Aoi clenched his fists. He wasn't about to let this overconfident alien underestimate them. Charging up his Sonic Strike, he launched forward with incredible speed, aiming for Vally's chest.
Carlos, Kenji, and Fyodor vs. Violet Hojo
On the other side, Carlos, Kenji, and Fyodor faced Violet Hojo. Unlike the others, Violet seemed different—quieter, more methodical. He didn't rush into battle but instead observed, calculating his opponents' every move.
Fyodor struck first, unleashing a powerful thunder strike. The electricity surged toward Violet, but just before it could hit, Violet disappeared in a blur of motion. He reappeared behind them, whispering, "Too slow."
Carlos turned in shock, but it was too late—Violet had already summoned a massive whirlwind that lifted all three of them into the air. They struggled against the raging storm, barely able to move.
Kenji shouted over the wind, "We have to work together! If we attack separately, he'll dodge everything!"
Carlos nodded. "Then let's synchronize our attacks!"
The Battle Rages On
The battlefield was chaotic. The Hojo Clan's wind abilities made them extremely difficult to land hits on, and their teamwork was seamless. Hikaru and his team were struggling to keep up, but they refused to back down.
Hikaru dodged another razor wind slash from Vector and countered with a massive energy wave. The attack exploded upon impact, sending a shockwave through the area. Muscle finally managed to land a heavy punch on Venom, causing him to stagger for the first time. Meanwhile, Aoi, Akito, and Ojjisan worked together, combining their strengths to break through Vally's wind defenses.
Despite their progress, the Hojo Clan was still holding strong. Vector smirked, unfazed. "You're putting up a fight, I'll give you that. But this battle is far from over."
Hikaru clenched his fists, his aura surging. "We're not done either. This ends today!"
The battle for survival had truly begun.
