"Qiqi, please help me manage these industries."
Jia Fuhai had seen how capable Qiqi was (she was great at making money), and since he was too lazy to do it himself, he decided to push everything onto her.
"...It's better for a man to have some property. You keep it for yourself, and I'll help you manage it," Zhen Linqi replied. She didn't want Brother Hai to have no assets of his own.
"I just want to spend my wife's money and enjoy it," Jia Fuhai said, hugging Qiqi, who was holding onto his arm.
"Haha, I make money just to spend it on you," Zhen Linqi said lovingly, patting Jia Fuhai's back. Her life was destined for him.
"Hehe, Qiqi, you're so good to me." Jia Fuhai rubbed Qiqi's face affectionately.
For instance, he had been planning to give the cake factory to Qiqi, but she insisted he keep it for himself, saying it was better for a man to have his own money. She even told him to ask her if he needed more.
"Don't look so smug! We're out in public." Zhen Linqi playfully patted Jia Fuhai, though she was clearly pleased.
Though the two were hugging in public, no one paid them much attention.
Most people were flocking around the person in charge of the plaza, loudly chatting and trying to make connections.
"Look, there's Jia Ji Cake, and the shop next to it is called Sui Jia Shi," Jia Fuhai said, pointing to the neighboring shop.
"Why do both shops have your name?" Zhen Linqi asked, confused.
"Oh, I was just bored and thought it'd be fun to set up a stall, so they gave it to me," Jia Fuhai said, puffing out his chest proudly.
"A free shop? Nice!" Zhen Linqi raised an eyebrow.
"As long as you like it." She supported Jia Fuhai's whims, but she couldn't help but comment on the name: "That name, Sui Jia Shi, is really something else."
"Qiqi, you know how little I've studied. Besides, the plaza owner said it was fine," Jia Fuhai defended himself, trying to brush off the illiteracy behind the name.
"Uncle Wang and Uncle Xu agreed to the name for the sake of Jia Ji Cake. It all works out since we're running the same kind of business," he continued.
"I didn't say it was bad. I just think it's... unique," Zhen Linqi sighed. She knew Jia Fuhai too well.
He was the self-proclaimed "King of Laziness." He often got excited about ideas but lost interest quickly. She found it a bit frustrating, but didn't blame him. After all, she made enough money to support the family, and Brother Hai could do whatever he pleased.
"Don't worry. It's not just a stall—we can also bring the kids to play here, or show off some new stuff," Jia Fuhai added, seeing that Qiqi seemed concerned. He could read her like a book after all these years.
"Fine, do as you like," Zhen Linqi shrugged.
"I didn't expect Jia Ji Cake to be so popular, and it hasn't even opened yet!" Jia Fuhai said, squeezing Qiqi's hand excitedly.
"Didn't you notice? People online have already started talking about it. I need to give Director Gao some extra instructions," Zhen Linqi replied, unable to hide her concern.
"Why are you so worried? If things go wrong, I'll just rely on you," Jia Fuhai said with a grin. His confidence came from the system's talent backing him, not to mention his supportive wives.
As for the internet buzz, he hadn't been paying much attention lately, caught up in reading novels instead of managing his own accounts.
Zhen Linqi sighed, "You're so carefree. I'll handle it."
"Great! Now, let's not worry too much. We're here to enjoy our stroll." Jia Fuhai held Qiqi's hand as they leisurely walked through the plaza.
Qiqi was a natural worrier, while her sister Nana didn't care about anything except having fun. But that's just how Qiqi was, and Jia Fuhai loved her for it.
As they strolled, they avoided eating at any of the stalls, having become picky about food since they no longer enjoyed most outside offerings.
Zhen Linqi glanced at Brother Hai, who was lazily shuffling along in his slippers, and then at a luxury watch store in the distance. She wondered if she should improve his image a bit.
But, knowing Brother Hai's preference for comfort, she hesitated. He loved wearing slippers and only changed into driving shoes when he had to. After reminding him a few times, she'd given up.
"Brother Hai, let's go buy you a watch," Zhen Linqi suddenly said, pulling Jia Fuhai toward the watch store.
"Welcome, sir, madam!" the store clerk greeted them with a big smile.
"Qiqi, wouldn't it be uncomfortable to wear a watch?" Jia Fuhai voiced his thoughts.
"Take us to the men's watches," Zhen Linqi instructed the clerk before turning to Jia Fuhai. "Why? I can't buy you a present?"
The clerk quickly led them to the men's section, sensing the couple's dynamic.
"It's not that, it's just… could you give me something else?" Jia Fuhai tried to negotiate, feeling uncomfortable with the idea of wearing a watch.
"Trust me, it'll be comfortable. Just try it on," Zhen Linqi reassured him, knowing he wasn't one to like restrictions.
Resigned, Jia Fuhai muttered, "You don't have much cash right now—don't spend recklessly."
"Which watches are the most comfortable to wear?" Zhen Linqi asked the clerk, ignoring Jia Fuhai's protest.
The clerk began showing them options, while Jia Fuhai sulked. Though he enjoyed spending his wife's money, it felt a bit awkward to be forced into it.
"Come on, Brother Hai, pick one you like," Zhen Linqi encouraged, wanting to find something he'd actually wear.
Jia Fuhai glanced at the watches, uninterested in any fancy functions. "Just give me something mechanical and comfortable."
The clerk quickly presented some options that fit the bill.
"How about these?" Zhen Linqi asked, holding up a couple of choices.
"All of them are fine," Jia Fuhai replied, feeling defeated.
The clerk, watching the scene unfold, struggled to keep a straight face. If only she could find herself a man like this! But professionalism came first, so she continued smiling as she helped the couple make their selection.
"Brother Hai, come on, let's find you the perfect one," Zhen Linqi urged.
Jia Fuhai finally gave in, thinking to himself that as long as it made Qiqi happy, it didn't matter what he wore.
